Judith Ahrends - Walk (Oilst club version)

Thomas aka @thomas-gaarthuis is a Dutch musician that is living in the picturesque Haarlem. He has been producing for many years and made a beautiful remix for us in the very first month of our existence. He is also an avid supporter of LF Amsterdam and we are thankful that he agreed to add his own production to our releases from this year. The title Rompompom came up when Thommie was exploring vocal elements to add to the track.

As for the remix; last year Thommie remixed 'Red Dust' for @theoddness, so this moment was perfect to do it the other way around. Happy to have The Oddness remix Rompompom.

I cannot find any person in this world more interesting than Moondog. Inventor of instruments, self-taught composer, poet and blind at 16, he dwelled for 30 years in 6th Avenue & 53th in New York, wearing a viking suit while selling his recorded music and poems. Friend of the best musicians of the city such as Charlie Parker or Benny Goodman, he got introduced to Native American music since young. This mixture of Jazz, Native American music and New York City street sounds are the foundation of Moondog’s signature sound.
