„Ein gutes Dutzend Doppelwhopper mit extra Klimbims“, tönen die Stimmen hungrig im Diggy-Land. „Zum Hierhören oder Einpacken?“ schallt es hinüber und keiner lässt da gerne auf sich warten. In Windeseile stehen sie da, höchst gespannt, denn Forgetti Regretti (https://soundcloud.com/forgetti_regretti) lässt uns und die staunende Brigade mit treibenden, melodischen und teils verspielten Melodien gen Herbst schlawenzeln. Gespickt mit allerlei Gesang und echtem Inhalt bekommt man das Gefühl, genau hier irgendwie an irgendwas erinnert zu werden. Im Jargon rundet sie jetzt schon ab, was im frühen Winter gehört werden wird und wird zur Wegleiterin in eine überzeugende Richtung. Welch ein wunderbarer Grund zum Anstoßen. Wir heben unseren Fako auf Eis und jubeln Julia frenetisch zu. 🗯🗯 How Did Corona change your artist life? 🗯🗯

When Corona arrived i was starting to feel more and more confident and comfortable in musical terms on many different levels: i had as many festival and international bookings ahead as never before, i was building up a label, working as musical consultant for different festivals, working on interesting studio projects, etc etc.  Most of this, suddenly freezed and i was sunk into a (creative) blockade.  Spending so much time at home, thousands of km away from my family was not easy and in order to clear my head i decided to fulfill a long time dream: dive into the modular world. So i used the lockdown to learn about it and start to build my own rack, bit by bit, module by module. It is still a humble, small rack and i have just started to scratch the surface of modular synthesis, but this has been a great medicine for me in order to find again my creative focus and develope further my approach to music.

🗯🗯 Where did you record the mix and how did you feel? 🗯🗯

I only do a few podcasts a year because i like to approach them as something rare and special. I always spend quite some time, digging for the right music. Recording this one for United We Stream, has been very special for me, because it is very meaningful what this platform has achieved in such a short and difficult moment.  Therefore i wanted to record a special mix, that fully represented my musical world these days. I prepared it at home, recorded it in the studio and it felt quite good when i finished it, as i was able to translate into the mix everything i wanted musically.

🗯🗯 What are your wishes for the time after Corona? 🗯🗯

At a personal level: to be able to make again my living from and with music.  In general: i can´t believe ( i don´t want to!) that all this pandemia won´t bring us any good lessons...so that´s my wish for the time after Corona: certain economic, social and emotional changes on a structural level.
