Seemingly contemplative & bleak, Kate Rogers' lyrics transport listeners to a dreamworld that has optimism and hope; a swirling utopian world where one forgets where they were going in the first place.

In 2019, with her husband Jay Trovato, Bad Bloom was created in Queens, New York. The band recorded a three-song EP, 'Candle' inspired by shoegaze and dreampop legends Ride, DIIV, My Bloody Valentine with Post-Punk and Indie influencers such as The Cure, Talking Heads, Rainer Maria, & Jenny Lewis. 

Seeking a change of pace, Jay and Kate left NYC, moved to Rochester, NY, & recorded 5 songs in the summer of 2020. 'Leave', to be released in early 2020, symbolizes the holistic need for escape, from our minds, from the earth, into the stars.
