Hello once again, and welcome back for the twelfth and final installment in our synodically recurring mix series 'Styles'. As we close out the series, we want to extend a big, huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who has joined us for this journey! It has been one hell of a ride!

Throughout the year, this mix series has aimed at showcasing unique styles and subgenres nestled amongst the broad landscape of electronic dance music. During this series, you will be treated to a tasteful blend of mixing skills and proper tracklist curation provided by the in-house G.R.A crew, as we explore the breadth and depth of what electronic dance music culture has to offer. For our final episode, we turn to GRA resident DJ and co-founder, Symtek, as he takes the decks for a 35 minute exploration into a contemporary style that we have yet to examine, Psybass. 

"Psybass, otherwise known as Psychedelic Bass, is a subgenre of electronic dance music that largely developed in the early 2010s, embodies a wide variety of influences, and has roots in storied genres such as Psy Trance, Dub & Reggae & Breaks among many others. The genre often combines triplet basses, four-on-the-floor beats and dark atmosphere of Psytrance, with heavy basslines, elements and glitchy beats from Bass music genres, mainly Dubstep, Drum and Bass, and Trap."
