This is the techno A side to the first record on my new label Somniverse. Deer in the Headlights will be out on August 26th on red 10" vinyl and digitally. 

After 7 solo EPs for independent hardcore labels like Meta4, Love Hz and PRSPCT Recordings, and more recent techno releases for RAW, Ghostly International and Possession, Somniac One is seizing the deer by its antlers to launch her own label: Somniverse!

As a firmly established name in industrial hardcore and fast-rising star in techno, Somniac One is perfectly positioned to color between the lines of both genres. A desire to go beyond boundaries to claim ownership of Somniac One's vast stylistic range – and to make you dance – is at the heart of Somniverse. Expect effective hardcore bangers, techno bangers, cross-over bangers. Bangers, pretty much, and the occasional tame B-side.

Deer in the Headlights is the first release on Somniverse and features two Somniac One productions that directly relate to the kind of sets she is playing to hardcore and techno audiences – always with the idea to draw fans from one scene into the other. Arp Track #1 is a classic piece of slowly unfolding, muscular and subtly euphoric techno, while MNDKNTRL on the flipside harkens back to some of the best moments in dark millennium hardcore.

Somniac one bio:

She has played at prominent hardcore festivals such as Defqon.1, Decibel and Masters of Hardcore, and she is one of a select few hardcore artists to break the mold and play at events like the Astropolis Festival, Motel Mozaïque, Bangface and Boiler Room.

Somniac One’s music is supported by some of the most prominent names in industrial hardcore and techno. She has released EPs on renowned underground labels Love Hz, Meta4 and Speed of Sound. She has also released several EPs on the nonconformist punk rock haven of hardcore that is the Rotterdam-based PRSPCT label, which now serves as her home base and booking agency.

Hardcore will surely never die, but Somniac One is here to make sure it doesn’t with her big-ass motherfucking kicks.

After nearly a year of work since our last VA, we can finally announce our second various artists compilation, VKVA002.

The VA is another huge compilation with all of our favourite artists along with tracks from 4 of our residents and just like last time, we’ll be donating half of the proceeds to Ayrshire Samaritans - a local mental health charity who was greatly appreciative of our last donation and deserves the help more than anything.

This is the second of three parts of the compilation.

The 1st release on this new label of Hardcore legend DJ Ruffneck is one to remember. Official releasedate: 14-06-2019 !!

Under his Ruffneck prime Moniker this legendary dj & producer delivers two hard techno tracks with a gritty deep underground tempo feeling. Phat industrial sounding kicks without going over the top combined with well balanced grooves.

Whereas Sign of the 13th pyramid delivers eerie sounds and a post apocalyptic feeling, Haka (War dance) leans towards primal deep techno with a thick nasty driven bassline!

With support by SNTS, Paula Temple, Domenico crisci, Remco Beekwilder ETC, who have been frequently already dropping these tunes in his sets this release will prove to be the blueprint of a hard techno underground label to keep an eye on. A very solid first release on Ruffneck prime's newly found label!
