The Oxidized compilation series is a charity project we have been working on since the inception of The Rust Music, with Oxidized, Vol. 1 being our very first label release in February 2017. At the end of each year we select a new charity, aid organization, or non-profit, to which all proceeds from the series are donated. In the past we have donated to organizations focusing on natural disaster aid, environmental restoration and preservation, as well as civil/human rights advocates and COVID-19 relief efforts on local, national, and international levels. 2022 proceeds from the Oxidized series will be donated to support women’s rights to healthcare and access to abortion, with this year’s donation to be determined towards the end of 2023.

Across the last 6 years, we've recurrently tapped into a network of both our roster talent and our close associates across the experimental electronic music spectrum to craft our first two Oxidized compilations. Now, for the final entry in the Oxidized Trilogy, we've brought together 32 producers, songwriters, and musicians from the US, the UK, Germany and Georgia to craft 28 tracks that cross through a medley of motifs in Hip-Hop, Drum & Bass, Downtempo, and more. Introducing Brussels-based producer 7Kidz, aka Zakaria, joins the Nomine Sound Tribe with his latest "Animosity" EP.. This three-track dubstep EP expertly blends the raw essence of classic dubstep with a fresh, innovative edge. The opening track, "Strife," features classic percussion patterns and brute wobbles, encapsulating themes of deep-seated anger. "Scouting" continues with complex percussion and a mysterious reversed melody, symbolising the search for solutions to the conflicts introduced in "Strife." The EP concludes with "Calamity," where mid-bass elements and haunting atmospherics come together to depict a world in ruins.

Influenced by dubstep pioneers like Skream and Skrillex, 7Kidz combines his deep-rooted love for the genre with a modern twist, creating a soundscape that is both nostalgic and refreshingly new. Zakaria's ability to evoke powerful cavernous emotions through his music has garnered him a dedicated fanbase, all sharing his passion for the genre.
