Heute präsentieren wir euch einen ganz besonderen Podcast aus Amsterdam vom fantastischen Kraut auch bekannt als Daniel Zuur. Er ist schon seit 2009 ein fester Bestanteil der Amsterdamer Clublandschaft … ob  Into the Woods Festival, Shoeless, Welcome to the Future Festival … Daniel ist überall zu finden. 

Mit dem Alter Ego Kraut tauchte er vor ein paar Jahren in den Global Downtempo ab und produziert seitdem unwiderstehliche Tracks mit diesem besonderen Tiefgang.

Für Afterhour Sounds hat er sich besonders ins Zeug gelegt und eine 90 minütige Reise ausschließlich aus Eigenproduktionen zusammengebastelt. Verschiede Elemente von Tracks wurden teilweise zu neuen Stücken zusammengefügt und somit ist ein einzigartiges Meisterwerk entstanden.

Spectrum Radio 046 by JORIS VOORN | LIVE at Warung, Brazil Pt.2

For most artists 2018 seemed a year for retrospection. Skee Mask opens my year mix with a track that could have been made by LTJ Bukem in 1996, followed by Pavel Milyakov who’s Main Loop track seems like an outtake of a mid 90’s German trance record. There’s also disco house by Dj Koze and Detroit Swindle, Italo dance by Krystal Clear and 90’s rave techno by Flug.
And even though I found 2018 quite a difficult year for finding big tracks, there was plenty of beautiful music, some of which ended up on my Year Mix.
I also feel dance music in 2018 has been more atmospheric than ever, which created beautiful moments on the dance floor, sometimes epic and sometimes more intimate.
With my Spectrum events I’ve been able to play much of this music in my extended sets, and I think this Year Mix reflects that.
As always I’ve really enjoyed wrapping up the year musically, and I’ve listed back to the mix 10 times already, I hope you will too.

Dj Set at the Gloriette Schönbrunn Vienna (2020)

Krupschum Klappe, dan denk je al snel aan Duitse schranz, maar niets is minder waar. Deze gezonde Hollandse jongen weet al een behoorlijke tijd het publiek in Groningen aan zich te binden met een zeer brede en variabele mix van techno en tech-house. Daarnaast is hij medeorganisator van het concept Techno, Tetten & Trompetten. Zijn naam en faam zijn inmiddels al regelmatig buiten Groningen te vinden en dat is niet meer dan terecht.

Onderhand heeft hij mogen draaien naast namen zoals: Marc Romboy, Klangkarussell, Format:B, Mircotrauma, Egbert en Mark Reeve.

Na veel thuis geoefend te hebben met het draaien met cd’s kon hij in 2010 in de PinUp Club als resident terecht. Hier deed hij veel ervaring op en bleef dan ook resident toen deze tent in 2011 werd omgedoopt tot de Subsonic. Vanaf toen ging het hard en steeds meer clubs werden onder handen genomen.

De drang naar meer mogelijkheden tijdens het draaien bleef bestaan. Zo stapte hij over naar het draaien met een laptop met daarnaast een arsenaal aan controllers, effect modulators en meer van dat soort onzin. De mogelijkheden bleken eindeloos en zo werd ook de stijl van deze DJ steeds gevarieerder. Met een beste collectie Deep House, Tech House en Techno weet hij op elk moment van de avond de mensen aan het daggeren te krijgen.

Onderhand heeft hij door het hele land en daarbuiten mogen draaien naast namen zoals: Marc Romboy, Klangkarussell, Format:B, Mircotrauma, Egbert en Mark Reeve.
