Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange - Intergalactic Berlin has become famous for being the Techno capital, but since a couple of years there are many other music things happening in the city. New subgenres are growing, new clubs and scenes are building. It's becoming the place to go for all kind of new musicians in the jazz, psychedelic and other music world. And Kryptox wants to show all these new phenomenas. After the albums of Berlin based Greek harpist Sissi Rada (Co-produced by Brian Eno), the kraut-rock collective Spiritczualic Enhancement Center and experimental drummer Niklas Wandt - now it's time for Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange. The band around Melbourne born drummer and producer Ziggy Zeitgeist has been based in London for a certain time before moving to Berlin a few years ago. By now Ziggy and his crew has a big following in Berlin - where the new jazz and soul-infected dance scene is growing - many new spaces, clubs, radios and places where the new DJs, musicians and bands things happen. Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange is a collective that bring together the real UK jazzfunk vibes that have been popularized by Kamaal Williams, Shabaka, Ezra Collective with the energy of Berlin's electronic DJ music. In fact, Ziggy Zeitgeist, head of the collective, is a big fan of the straight dancefloor driven DJ tools music. His aim is to create a mix of both - the jazz vibes and the tribalistic, electronic energy to create a way of real dancefloor jazz vibes that reflect a fresh modern touch of what could be a sound for the next years. Of course, many elements of FZEE songs come from the 1970ies. The chord progressions, the fusion keyboard solos, the driving rhythms. But the general sound if the music and its straight electrifying energy to create a completely own futuristic sound. Sci-Fi Jazz Directions was recorded by the original trio of Ziggy Zeitgeist, Matthew Hayes and Lewis Moody. After spending thousands of hours together making music on stage and in the woodshed, this album represents a turning point for the group and quite possibly the very nature of creative collaboration. This is an album of tunes crafted over 'online jam sessions', as the trio were split between three corners of the world during 2020. Ziggy explains: "Our blessing and our curse is that we're adaptive creatures, we find a way, we adapt to the circumstance, and so as artists and as improvisers we found ways to connect and create in a virtual space." The trio continue to hone their unique brand of dance-floor focused 'jazz-rave'. They are mainly live musicians, and they love to play at parties. They've been playing underground dance jam in abandoned basements of London, Berlin, and Melbourne for years - and it's blog part of their identity as that the magic of live bands: the band needs the direct interaction with the dance floor. This album epitomizes the Zeitgeist of the time, the crucial meeting point of our organic selves with our technology.

Toy Tonics Jam Hits is a new format where Toy Tonics puts together some of the most successful tracks played at their Jam parties. These are taking place every weekend around Europe, in some of the best clubs and at Toy Tonics regular jam places like Panorama Bar Berlin, Phonox London or Alacazar in Rome. Toy Tonics is doing these parties 2-4 times every weekend. It's a big thing now. 

This second part features COEO with their evergreen song „Native Riddim“. This song is almost a club classic. Played by everybody from Moodymann to Gerd Janon, Peggy Gou to Dan Shake. The extended version has 8 million plays on Spotify already.

A new Toy Tonics EP. It’s the second by Venezuelan house DJ and producer Gee Lane. Including amazing remixes by NYC mainstay musclecars!

Gee Lane’s debut EP Metamorphosis (with remixes by Demi Riquísimo and Divorce From New York Remix & PIEK ) came out last October. 
But as Virginie (her real name) is a steady name of the Toy Tonics crew now and plays almost every weekend at one of the worldwide Toy Tonics Jams, it makes sense to put out a follow up fast.

Gee Lane originally from Caracas, now living in Barcelona, is a passionate DJ and vinyl digger with an extraordinary positive energy and attitude. A DJ diva in a positive way. A unique personality with a very strong style (in music but also as a person) and very elaborated ability to read and play with the dancers. Like the first EP, this one has also been recorded in Barcelona and Berlin with a little help from Robin Braum from Athlete Whippet. The music reflects well on her roots and passion for everything that came out of New York’s dance culture. You can hear influences from the 80ies promo disco scenes as well as the 90ies Body & Soul/ Francois Kervorkian / Joe Claussell universe. In fact, Gee Lane after being raised in Caracas and musically educated by her father from a very early age (a composer and musician), moved to New York at a very young age in the late 90ies, where she fell in love with the HOUSE scene. And especially everything that happened at the famous and influential 'Body & Soul' club. 

This culture increased her curiosity to become a DJ (and vinyl digger herself) who is not just interested in house music but wants to explore other genres such as funk, Hip-Hop, jazz and Latin sounds and include these vibes into her DJ sets. As vinyl collector (and long-time record shop employee) since then, she is known for her musical eclecticism, which leads her to mix everything she wants...
