It's extremely rare to find an artist mastering multiple styles. Krys Kofi seamlessly blends RnB reminiscent of Toronto's early 2010s scene, Rap that's both egotrip-driven and profound, and melodic Afrobeats influences. He handles recording, mixing, and mastering. From his breakout single "My luv is real" in 2017 to "In the Image of God," via his hit "Kofi's Universe, Pt1(Flex)" which finished at number one in the Trace Urban Cameroon chart, Krys has taken us on a journey through predominantly Rap, RnB and AfroBeats styles.

Born Christian Junior Kofane Mayang, Krys Kofi is a French based Cameroonian Artist who started out in an environment that wasn't very conducive to rap "from elsewhere". He was heavily influenced by Drake, JCole, Tory Lanez and Kendrick Lamar to name a few. 
2020 saw the release of the single "Codes", heralding his debut EP "The Playtime Is Over". In addition to tackling head-on the theme of perseverance in a hostile music industry, "Codes'' is also the identity card of the "Krys Kofi" style, which blends his influences, all with a touch of 237, to create something unique in the global music industry.

The EP's tracks, including "Tell" and "Ballin' like Embiid," have resonated from Yaounde (CMR) to Manchester (UK). Collaborations with Nasco Owens and Blak Mudi on "Combat" and contributions to B Rvss' "Drums and Emotions" project solidify Krys' evolution toward a distinctive "Afro-Hip-Hop" sound.
