About the CD:
So this came out of the blue in 2000 and was a new mix compilation that gained a lot of fans not just from its unique theme (what's not to like!) and retro artwork which stood out on the shelves. Not only that but the music was damn good too. Dimitri from Paris delivers a driving soulful collection which had its own unique flavour and was perfect for nights out, driving, after parties and whatever else. Shout out to Just Lance in Dubai for reminding us about this one!

Tilt Shift sits firmly left of center, a difficult-to-label square peg that unintentionally fails to fit a pigeonhole. Borrowing from the photography term, Tilt Shift refers to two different types of movement, a selective focus with a large depth of field used to control perception. This can be applied to our music policy, tilting the vertical axis resulting in a sharp area of focus without reducing the depth of field. The selective focus that can be achieved by both tilting and shifting movements, It's compelling because the effect is different from that which you may have become accustomed to. This movement is often used to avoid the convergence of parallel lines, or as we have come to think of it, it’s where the lines blur.

About the CD:
001 of the Classic Mix CD collection. This mix immediately sprung to mind and an major contender for all time favourite mix CD. (It's seems like a few of you guys think the same). A hands in the air, feel good garage (and house) banger with many many memories attached. I think I bought this in 1997, two years after leaving school, going to college, working at McDonalds's and clubbing up and down the country once a month alongside weekly/daily night outs in Sunderland.
