Krystle is a singer songwriter who grow up in wandsworth, southwest London. She lived with her sister and mother and spent a lot of time entertaining them with her songs, not knowing that one day she would pursue a career in music.

She was and still is a very keen athlete and recalls sport coming naturally to her, she was also picked to become captain of her primary school football team at St josephs. “The boys needed leader ship and the coach thought I was a good leader.” Although she enjoyed sport there were other creative things she could do. She struggled in secondary to get any really good grades and spent a lot of her time dreaming about being on stage doing something or other.

She went to college and studied drama with one music module were she had to sing and song called ‘’aint no sunshine’’ her teacher at the time said to her ‘your a great actress but your voice krystle is amazing, you should be doing music.’ With this she left her love of drama behind and went on to study popular music course at houghall community college. While living in Durham and playing national league basketball all over England, Krystle notice a shift in her musical style. “I can remember setting in class listen to the guys playing jimi Hendrix, queen and the eagles a lot and thinking how cool it was to see people playing instruments live, and thinking I want to play guitar like them’’. 

Living in Durham by herself she did not have a lot of money so she wrote to the princes trust in hopes they could help. They gave her some money to by her first guitar that she still uses today, the Yamaha and every since then she would come home from basketball practice and play her guitar for hours. After playing basketball for 3 years she went on to study music composition to keep her mum happy while she pursued her dream…

Most of her success has come from her self-learning capabilities. She’s a self-taught guitarist with music production skills. She also has a degree in music composition and performance, which she feels has been beneficial and rewarding and shows her committed.
