Goodfella - Sensei / Chaser

Insomnius Music would like to welcome Hamburg-based producer and DJ Goodfella (@dj-goodfella-1) to their artist roster with his first solo release ‘Sensei/Chaser’ on the label. Although he is not a new face in the drum & bass game, he is definitely an artist to watch – combining his jungle and techno roots with modern brilliance.

In ‘Sensei’, Goodfella’s monster bassline will blow you out of your comfort zone and make every single one of your nerves pulsate inside you. You’ll find yourself in a dark and unpredictable atmosphere, just like a Japanese horror movie. First comes silence, then fighting samurai usher you through a deep, uneasy night until darkness brightens
into day again.

At last you have time to catch your breath and come back to yourself. Because your ‘Sensei’ has shown you the way, you now know where your journey will take you: Jump on your racecar and become the ‘Chaser’ on your city's highways. Chaser’s radical synth is your airstream as you travel through a futuristic urban environment – driven by modern drums and a rich bass foundation that presses your body into the seat.

Crawler: producer,  music production instructor and streamer on Twitch, known to those who know for his unique brand of existential high-octane drum and bass has released many works on other notable labels such as: Melting Pot, Harder & Louder, Chuffin Noise and Battle Audio to name a few. 

We're more than proud to present a full hour DJ set from this Portuguese electronic music power-house and as you can see from the tracklisting we're not only welcoming Crawler to the Mix Series but are welcoming his work as a signed artist to EXE Project for our 5th release.

This one leans into a fast, gritty drum and bass sound I’ve been chasing for a while. Sharp drums, a heavy low end, and a lot of small details moving in the background to keep the track feeling alive. It’s meant to feel tense and energetic without turning into a wall of noise.

If you’re into the darker side of DnB, or anything that hits hard but still has some atmosphere behind it, this should land pretty well. Always down to hear what people think or how it sounds in your setup.
