In December of 2022, with Turbo Recordings nearing the cusp of its 25th year, label Owner, Founder and Executive Vision Honcho Tiga sent out an urgent missive to friends and collaborators across the globe:

"SEND ME ONE AWESOME TRACK AND LETS GET RICH BABYCAKES. SEND ME FILLER AND YOUR PERSONAL CONTACT INFO GOES STRAIGHT INTO THE TURBO DISCORD SO YOU CAN ‘CONNECT' WITH OUR FANS.”

This brazen threat spoke to the hearts of some of dance music’s greatest talents, who within days gathered outside Tiga’s Montreal fortress carrying thumb drives bursting with melody, rhythm, and more than a little timbre. Now, after months of brutal attrition and line-crossing personal rejection, we are proud to present you with the very best of the best. 

While the mere mention of a label compilation is enough to get anyone’s imagination rock-hard, just consider some of the names involved. From legends like Soulwax (as 2manydjs), Matias Aguayo, Jori Hulkkonen, The Hacker, Seth Troxler, and Audion to modern masters like Cora Novoa, Disfreq, Nikki Nair, Fedele, Mathame (and many more), Turbo 25 spans soundscapery from the label’s rich past, rich present, and VR-heavy future. It stands as an unqualified triumph of networking, goodwill toward men, and Dropbox.

As Turbo Recordings joins the long-lived ranks of Northrop Grumman, the Carlyle Group, and HSBC Malta, this corporate anniversary presents an opportunity for reflection, a chance to bask in the refractory glow before the next 25 years of our label bring about Paradise on Earth. Maybe all of this culminates with every single Turbo artist ever DJing and dancing alongside world leaders and Web3 visionaries at the Hadron Collider main stage. Maybe it’s finally time to release Tiga and Manu Chao's reggaefied hip-house stomper, “Get Vertical.” Literally anything is possible.

A split release of two incredible electro musicians at the crossroads of worlds: classic live electro from the German Intergalactic Noize Commander and new-school from Ukrainian Grid User on a fresh release of Mystictrax Label.

"Transcosmic" is also about the relationship between humans and cyborgs, and the transition of people to more robotic states in the future. "Schatten der Macht" is a struggle of a lyrical hero against a totalitarian automated system for the right to create freely, which is a joint work of both musicians. "State Transition" is about transformation and cloning, digitalization and smoothly flowing bass, a solo track by Grid User, as well as the title track on the release - "Transcosmic". The tracks alternate with brutal and slower, classic machine play in trax from Intergalactic Noize Commander: "Matter Of Time" and "Stranger 2.0" reveal to us the details of the continuation of Rick Deckart's life from Philip K. Dick's ominous science fiction with a life-affirming ending!

DISCHI is glad to introduce Borusiade’s “A Measure of Chaos”.
After debuting on the alternative club scene of Bucharest, in 2002, the DJ and producer relocated to Berlin where they sharpened their signature sound often dark, with deep bass lines, obsessive and melodic themes.
On “A Measure of Chaos”, Borusiade channels the frazzling energies of today’s world, into a deep and intense piece of music. 
The title track is a somber and atmospheric composition: through a precise sound design, Borusiade builds an almost apocalyptic soundscape, populated by machine-like electronic glitches. 
On NPTQ, a symphony of razor-sharp synths immediately establishes a sense of urgency, a restless energy. 
The track pulls you in, and doesn’t release you until the very last note. 
All in all, “A Measure of Chaos” showcases Borusiade’s ability at worldbuilding, and invoking a full spectrum of emotions through a sensitive approach to electronic music.
 The project is accompanied by remixes from two nightlife forces. Audrey Danza reworks A Measure of Chaos with a profound bass, crafting a mysterious, technoid trip. Byron Yeates’ take on NPTQ turns it into a proper dance tunnel, injecting it with a clubby, sweaty vibe.
