It is a safe bet to say that the Londonian duo Krywald & Farrer (a.k.a. K&F) needs no introduction. The story began when Ed & Jack first casually met in the mystical little party hidden in the middle of the woods as they have been both Gottwood regulars since day one. In 2012, Percolate nightclub became the breeding ground for their fertile relationship as they officially decided to join forces there. Actually, those guys embody what going B2B quintessentially means or, in other words, the art of polymerizing two entities to bring a tastier and stronger one to life. As lifetime residents there, they have invariably been aiming to throw unpretentious parties where having fun defines the main focus, while keeping high-profile line-ups (Peach, Hunee, Midland or Leon Vynehall) all along the journey. When it comes to production and DJing, K&F feel free not to stick to one genre and tirelessly explore warm old afro, latin, jazz, disco and house grooves. Through their PERSIES, REPSIES and Top Pocket Records labels, they make it a point of honour to rework a selection of beloved gems from the past to unaffectedly turn them into contemporary and party-inclined tunes.

As it's Christmas and all, really going on a festive mewd seemed like the inevitable thing to do. This newest mewd - an extended mix of four and a half hours - was also created for more practical purposes. Bear with me on the story behind this one.

A few years ago, a mate of mine sent a photo of a Persies sticker on a record player that was serving tunes in a shop on Columbia Road called Funk. It was particularly notable because, as many of my friends know, I'm very big on artisan cheese. Eating it, learning about it, talking about it. I have a particularly saucy habit of putting every single cheese from a given cheeseboard onto a cracker and eating it in one go - a par one if you will. My mum says I made my first cheeseboard at age 6. 

It prompted a conversation with my girlfriend on how cheeseboards are actually the best bit of Christmas, but they get overlooked as everyone's too full after a big cloggy Christmas dinner. So she suggested it could be fun to do a pre-Christmas drinks and cheese party for friends. Cheesemas as we know it was born.

As much as I love digging rare and beautiful records to play out, I'm now in the 4th year of doing much the same thing in the cheese world. This year served up a 20-cheese cheeseboard for over 30 friends in Hackney Wick, and it was ruddy bloody festive. The leftovers made a 13-cheese mac and cheese the next day for hangovers.

This was the mix that was crafted for such an occasion: Christmas music that doesn't make you want to be sick. I've included some of the best Christmas and Christmas adjacent tunes from my collection, which is perfect for sessioning out over a party, lunch, or dinner when you're with your nearest and dearest and having a hell of a time.
