Kiedy seria guest mixów w Burn The Roots startowała dwa lata temu byłem jeszcze na etapie namawiania dzisiejszej gościni do złapania za decki i trzymania kciuków, by mogła się tu kiedyś pojawić. Dziś gummi jest najbardziej ekscytującą debiutantką sezonu, zjadając szlifowaną od lat selekcją większość polskiego undergroundu. Świetne czucie muzyki i naturalny pociąg do rzucania sobie wyzwań i zacierania DJskich konwenansów sprawiły, że płynnie i bez skrępowania odnalazła się na tak poważanych eventach, jak Up To Date, Miazmat czy Move Mózg. Ku uciesze mojej i najbardziej wymagających słuchaczy, Sylwia wjeżdża na naszą antenę z miksem wypełnionym ostrymi zakrętami i dziwacznym basowym brzmieniem.

@sann-odea line up their first physical CD compilation 'Ithomiines'. Dedicated to the enrapturing beauty of the Ithomiini butterfly, a species of glasswing butterflies. The compilation aims to soundtrack the metamorphosis of the insect by inviting label artists to interpret the organism. Our pick from the compilation is ‘Natu‘ by Dutch producer and Radio TNP resident @marijnswillens.

After debuting on 3024 in July 2021 with "I See Faces in the Trees" on the label's first Artist Mentorship Compilation, we are very proud to present Talik's Firefly EP.

On this record, the London-based producer explores and experiments with the twitchy, flickering movements of animals of the night, their behaviors perhaps analogous to our own in dark and loud rooms surrounded by strangers- alone but together. Through four beautiful tracks we are shown a more energetic side of Talik's music, layered with the moods of her earlier work for Intercept, Pressure Dome and Control Freak.

Press Release:
James Young steps up for his first release on QRUK with the Nagasaki EP, a dark and driving UKG cut that leans into the moodier edges of Garage and Speedy G. The North Wales-based producer has already made waves with House releases on labels like Smashin Trax and Pogo House, but this new EP sees him pushing into heavier, more dancefloor-focused territory. Nagasaki is packed with chopped-up drums, eerie textures and a tough low-end that hits hard. 

On remix duties is Kabo Cana, returning to the label after making a big impression with his debut I DON'T UNDERSTAND. His take on Nagasaki flips the original into a more club-ready, 90s inspired roller full of sub pressure and tight percussion. It's another strong showing from the Manchester-based producer who's quickly becoming an exciting name in the new wave of UKG.
