Homeys Records new release, “Something new”, features the first
collaboration between Marina P and the upcoming french producer KSD. Once the original track was completed, the vocals were given to three other producers close to the italian singer for remixing. Stand High Patrol’s version offers a jazzy take on the track with unexpected footwork influences. TWM, for his very first release, presents a steppers version made for the soundsystem. Homeys brings a roots reggae touch with a flute part that leads the theme.
These producers’ three different remixes perfectly represent the musical universe of Marina P. The 12 inch will be available as a strictly limited edition release

Cette nouvelle release du label Homeys Records est née de la première collaboration entre Marina P et le producteur poitevin KSD. Une fois le morceau original achevé, le vocal de "Something New" a été livré à l’inspiration de trois autres producteurs proches de la chanteuse italienne qui ont tous décidé de réinterpréter le morceau à leur manière. Stand High Patrol nous propose une version jazzy du track portée par une rythmique aux influences footwork inattendues. TWM, dont c'est la toute première sortie, présente une version stepper taillée pour les soundsystem. Homeys, quant à lui, mise sur des accents très roots avec une flute traversière qui mène le thème. Les producteurs mobilisés sur le projet ont su proposer une palette de sons éclectiques qui représentent parfaitement l’univers musical de Marina P. L’EP sera dispo le 31 mars sur Homeys Records. Attention édition limitée !!

Volontairement minimaliste, KSD prend racine loin de toute barrière technique et matériel :un ordinateur, les oreillettes de téléphone comme casque d’écoute et les touches du clavier d’ordinateur comme touche de piano. 
Inspiré par le future beat, le dub et le hip hop, KSD l'est surtout par des lieux, des personnes, des expressions rencontrés ici et là sur la route.
Cette parenthèse est une invitation à porter un autre regard sur les sentiments du monde qui nous entoure.
