Following the release of his tongue-n-cheek debut single - ‘Designer Dresser’ which received radio support from the likes of Fee Mak (WestRadio LDN), Chloe Mykel (Flex FM) Bex (Croydon FM) Croydon’s rising star, KS MoreTime returns with his new single - 'Humble’. 

KS does a 180 and gets dark delving deep into the politics of navigating the streets where it’s important to remain humble, but poised unlike those he describes as “cookie youts” who crumble under the pressure of their environment.  

While KS sets the scene with the chorus he doesn’t focus purely on the streets and slips into his not so humble alter-ego Dripzo spitting flashy slick braggadocio lines like:  

”Your MCM can’t do it like me!” letting the ladies know he’s guy the need check for and also

”I might spend 8 bills on Italian shoes my dresscode is oh so rude, I’m vintage with with sauce like luxury food she want’s to take pics and moods” 

KS attacks the beat with ferocity sitting in the pockets of the F12-produced banger, which is centered around an enchanting arabic flute loop, peppered with skipping percs and an earth shattering 808 bassline which is sure to get the avid drill fan gassed.

Speaking on the ‘Humble’ KS said:”I'm not a drill artist, I’m working on developing Killer Sound my own signature music, but I wanted to showcase my versatility in way that people would be able to appreciate. Drill is the sound of this young generation, so I wanted to speak the language, but in my own way and let them know I can get busy on any riddim”.

The next 24 months are going to be exciting times for KS as he prepares to drop a series of singles with his Killer Sound signature song, ‘MoreTime’ scheduled for late 2022.

Humble

Croydon's rising star, 17-year-old rapper, KS MoreTime releases his anti-knife crime anthem,'Heavy With The Hooks', a track inspired by the loss of young lives that’s occurring daily in London, and around the UK. 

On this smooth hip-hop head-nodder, which incorporates Harry Love’s production from Kyza Smirnoff's 2003 single - 'Harsh Reality', KS creates a modern classic for a new generation of hip-hop fans. He details the struggles of growing up in inner-city London in the midst of the current knife-crime epidemic, reflecting on his own life which could've taken a turn for the worse,  had he not made the decision to stay on the straight and narrow focusing on music. 

His motivation for speaking up on this important issue can be summed up simply in the line: ”Man I’m just praying and I’m wishing, I’d don’t want to see my brothers locked-up in the prison”.
 
Take the social commentary and introspectiveness of Dave, the flashy stylistic swagger of Fredo and the excitement and energy of a young Dizzee Rascal, and mix it all up in a pot, and you have KS MoreTime, a versatile MC schooled in traditional hip-hop values, who sounds at home on boom-bap as well as current popular flavours of production.

Since embarking on his musical journey at 14-years-old, KS has achieved a fair amount, most recently performing the at the CYAC Takeover, and gracing the same stage as British urban music legends: UK Apache and Mica Paris at Croydon's Carnival of Cultures. He was one of the winners of the London OnSide talent competition facilitated by the Legacy Youth  Zone, and as a result will be performing at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall at the first OnSide Awards on November 17, 2019.

The next 12 months are going to be exciting times for KS with a couple of major singles scheduled for release in 2020, which are sure to get a few industry heads sitting up and paying attention. KS (which stands for Keep Striving) aims to inspire others to find their own calling, and overcome adversity. He spreads positivity in his raps stating: "Moving people mentally through music, that's my mission!”

Following coming in third place, and making the finals of the Lottery 25 Talent Show and Lady Leshurr’s Quaranting Freestyle Challenge respectively, Croydon's rising star, 18-year-old rapper, KS MoreTime releases his new promo single,'Give Me The Mic'. 

On this anthemic hip-hop head-nodder, produced by 28th, KS calls out those who he sees making big claims but can’t back it up with action. Delivering his verses with intensity he displays why he should be viewed differently than many of his contemporaries stating: “I do with the mic, what Cristiano does with the ball, set standards so high it could be fatal to fall”. 

MoreTime glides over the beat with a slick multi-syllabic rhyme pattern sitting snugg in the pocket of the beat, which is centred around a cinematic horn making it suitable for a superhero’s theme tune. 

Speaking on the track KS said: ”I got the beat from 28th, and caught a vibe on this one, which was to just to display my lyrical ability, bringing it back to the rhymes, of course I always got slip in a little social-political commentary, but I didn’t want that to be the focus on this one”.

The next 18 months are going to be exciting times for KS with his first official single ‘Designer Dresser’ scheduled for release in September, followed by a series of single releases throughout 2021. Get ready!

Following performing at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall at the first ever OnSide Awards at just 17-years-old (making him one of the youngest rappers to perform at the venue),  and dropping his anti-knife crime anthem, 'Heavy With The Hooks' in 2019, Croydon’s rising star, KS MoreTime returns in 2021 to release his official debut single, 'Designer Dresser’. 

KS moves away from the serious socio-political commentary over boom-bap production on 'Heavy With The Hooks' to a more light-hearted vibe, making a tongue-in-cheek poke at those consumed with portraying a superficial image so much that they end up faking it. While KS slips into his alter-ego Dripzo also a lover of designer apparel and the finer things in life, he separates himself from those he takes aim at by making a clear distinction in their motivation in the line:

”That’s why me and you are different, I grind for my passion, you just grind for the image” which sums up KS perfectly, style and substance.

KS delivers his verses with swagger displaying his lyrical-ability over a crisp contemporary UK rap / afroswing production courtesy of The Beatz Hubz, who layer a catchy piano-melody with a warm bassline, switching things up with a lively flute section, while the punchy-kick drums drive the track throughout.

Designer Dresser

KS MoreTime is an exciting young rapper coming out of Croydon, one of London's leading boroughs for talent.  

KS is an abbreviation for the man: "King Sovereign", and his message "Keep Striving".  He describes his music as a blend of early noughties hip-hop and dance music sprinkled with contemporary sounds such as afroswing and drill. 

Marking his official arrival on the UK music scene in 2021 with his debut single - 'Designer Dresser', KS laid a firm foundation for himself securing radio support from the likes of: Croydon FM, Westside Radio, Flex FM, W!zard Radio and press coverage on Nijii Magazine, Assay Magazine and BritHopTV's website.

No stranger to the stage KS MoreTime has come up the old skool way honing his craft in the studio, and making a name for himself locally doing live performances which earned him a spot in SDS Entertainment's "Ones To Watch" Croydon edition.

Although still in the early stages of his career, KS MoreTime has some impressive achievements under his belt.  He performed to an audience of over 6000 people at the first ever Onside Awards at just 17-years-old, making him one of the youngest rappers to perform at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall.
