Knowledge Imprint is proud to welcome another young talent to the roster. Hailing from the UK, FLAWS is fairly new to the scene, but he has already begun cementing himself with a clear vision, purpose and artistic integrity. His passion for music is evident not only through his own productions and DJ sets, but also through his labels that he runs with his likeminded counterparts. 

‘Cosmology’ introduces the EP with dubby textures, dark moods and a chugging rhythm that carries the listener through shades of loopy techno. Subtle percussive shifts are synchronised with a repeating bass stab that gives the track a sense of galloping, forward movement. ‘Principle’ on the other hand is a lesson in restraint. A simple loop comprising of a kick drum and melodic digital percussion repeats throughout, whilst a running white noise hi-hat provides rhythmic diversity in the arrangement. Elegant and minimalistic, the track encourages introspection but could be equally functional for dancefloor moments. 

‘Code’ employs slower tempos to drag you into its depths, this track evokes darker moods with somber pads ebbing and flowing throughout. Similarly, the track’s repetitive nature is countered with hi-hats that spontaneously expand and contract. ‘Structure’ closes the EP with a sense of optimism and release. It’s punchy drums and rhythmic variations are layered with lush pads that sway in and out of an arpeggiated synth melody. 

‘The true art of living in harmony with the earth, fellow humans and the universe is an idea that should be observed with delicate attention. We could have a chance to broaden our nature to understand more clearly what reality consists of.’

Parabel is a leading Swedish collective that has featured Joel Mull, Dustin Zahn, Samuli Kemppi, and many others, which continues to expand and maintain its incredible quality.

One of the Parabel regulars and star artists, Patrick Siech returns with another EP for Sweden's Parabel label. Patrick is a producer that consistently comes up with captivating concepts and maintains an informed approach. His tracks have been released on Adam Beyer's Drumcode LTD vinyl series, as well as Richie Hawtin's M_nus.

For this DT:Premiere "Snakes Are Out" is a slick, dubby ride. Flickering percussion warms this beast up under delicate a bassline, while acid stabs create an energy under the main synth melody with a gritty atmosphere and haunting warehouse sound that blends throwback sounds into a modern era in consummate style.

Avec « Par-delà les sens », le DJ Atavi lance son nouveau label Essential Delights Records. Pour cette première sortie prévue le 28 octobre, 19 artistes de la scène française sont rassemblé·es à travers 16 tracks de techno mentale et hypnotique, trance, bass deep et expérimentales. On y retrouve notamment Hayashi, 44hz & Soām, LITTLEFISH, Catartsis, mais aussi de jeunes talents issus de collectifs émergents.

Aujourd’hui, on vous dévoile la track d’intro de la compilation, « Bestiary of the Enchanted Forest », fruit de la collaboration de Drawbridge et Pal Parallax. Avec une inspiration dub très claire, les deux producteurs ont mélangé leurs univers en expérimentant autour d’une ligne de basse jouée au Moog, sur laquelle se posent différentes textures, éléments harmoniques et même une voix énumérant des bestioles imaginaires.

À travers ses projets, le label cherche à se concentrer sur des sonorités mentales et prône des ponts entre les genres, se détachant des tracks purement pensées pour le dancefloor.
