JJ is een Zweeds duo, labeled bij Sincerely Yours (Gothenborg). JJ releasde voor het eerst een album in 2009, wat door Pitchfork als best new album werd betiteld.
Sinds eind 2009 staan ze ook onder contract bij het Secretly Canadian label. Eerder coverde ze al hiphop nummers als Akon's "Troublemaker" (nou kan die alleen maar beter worden). Nu komen ze met een hele mixtape aan hiphop edits, wat qua sounds XX achtig aandoet. Een mixtape die lekker sferisch klinkt met bekende melodieen en texten, daarnaast zitten er de nodige vocoders in. Je moet uiteraard wel edits kunnen uitstaan, anders is het bij voorbaat niets voor je. Hoe dan ook vind ik het een lekkere mixtape en JJ een harde formatie.
