The Kubes are an American psychedelic rock band formed in Fort Worth, Texas in 2018. The current and core lineup consists of Travis Flippo (Guitar/Keyboards/Vocals), Spencer Fortner (Bass/Harmonica/Vocals), and Landry "Noodles" Smith (Drums/Percussion). Their main influences consist of The Beach Boys, Canned Heat, and Cream.

The group formed as a power trio on September 7, 2018 in the back room of Flippo's house. The band regards the rock power trio as the most 'primal' and 'raw' of any group dynamic and respects the Cream's focus on virtuosic instrumentation being the backdrop for a series of improvisations in their live shows.

In 2020, the three Kubes began recording in their studio sanctuary, The Jam House, and Flippo assumed the role of producer and primary songwriter. In November 2021, the Discovery One album released as the sophomore psychedelic suite helmed by Flippo’s ‘Space Blues’ concept and drum-machined song structures.
