Kultivate Recordings' 2nd release this year comes from the hands of Jamie Power. A young go-getter who always drooled with inspiration when listening to jazz, old soul and R&B bangers, but really wanted to get into the 'music bizz' when he experienced his first house beats in Amsterdam's legendary club Paradiso at the tender age of 13 - the rascal!

Since 14, he's been hooked on Ableton and Reason; his puberty was musically. In those years he found inspiration in modern heroes such as Gaiser, Stimming and Lauhaus. Jamie Power builds his own bridge between the sugar-coated musical styles from his childhood and the rumbling 4-to-the-floor beats that really set him free as a teenager.

Jamie Powes prefers to produce his tracks with a minimal whiff about them, yet they always contain that lovely old school flow that inspired him since his earliest memory.

Birdon is the new alias from dutch producer Demy Ottens. To stay true to his techno roots he
decided to concentrate more on a raw and pure sound on the ‘Formant EP’.

After years of studio experience, Formant EP is the commencement of his personal musical
vision. Birdon’s goal was to come up with a sophisticated release, we ask you to be the judge
of that!

Formant EP consists of three powerful, cutting edge techno tracks with noisy yet atmospheric
elements. The raw beat structure is layered with fine, dark details along the tracks.
The EP includes a massive remix from the talented Side Issue, resulting in a great
collaboration.
