Finishing the triology, here is Disc 3 of my “Re-mix” collection of the GOAT Renaissance DJ Mix originally done by Sasha and Digweed in 1994.  Disc 3 follows the same format of Disc 1 and 2, using the exact same track selection as the original,  but using all remixes of those iconic tracks. This mix includes several new, unheard remixes from the likes of Blue Amazon, Digital Department, Medway x 2, Dave Gluskin and me, Off Meta).  Other mixes were sourced from the years and decades after 1994 when this mix series was created including Ralph Rosario, Framewerk, Hybrid and Steve Gerrard. 
It  has been an absolute blast to recreate these mixes. I revere this DJ Mix and Sasha and Digweed as the best to ever do it. Finding new remixes, and commissioning others from some of my favorite producers, and creating my own edits has been a true passion project. It’s been even more inspiring as comments from fellow S&D and Renaissance lovers rolled in on Discs 1 and 2.  The positive response has blown me away and kept me motivated as Disc 3 took much longer than I expected.

The ‘Prospect EP’ is three-track collaboration between the acclaimed Nox Vahn (fka Fairchild), and British-born rising talent Marsh.

Opening with distant wildlife sounds, an unassuming intro gives way to colossal pitch-bending synths in ‘Prospect’. ‘Follow Me’ sees the pair collaborate with American singer-producer Mimi Page to deliver a dream-like arrangement, whilst ‘Serena’s Garden’ (as heard on Anjunadeep 10) concludes the EP with ghostly vocals atop a backdrop of field-recordings.

I am an artist now living in Jacksonville Florida and I have been listening to electronic music since the early days of Tangerine Dream. They were the group whose music most shaped my current taste. In 1985 Patrick O'Hearn came out with 'Ancient Dreams' and in 1989 Michael Pluznick came out with 'Where the Rain is Born' The synth work, percussion, and deeply layered atmospheres on those two cd's captivated me for years. Then in 1993 an explosion seemingly occurred-Young American Primitive came out with his work , Future Sound of London came out with Accelerator and Global Communication with their remix of Chapterhouse 'Pentamerous Metamorphosis' and suddenly this wonderful music was everywhere. I love this music. It puts me in a place I would otherwise not be able to visit.It has been a kind of elegant and secret passport to that place where I find inspiration for my art.  This music is for me a wellspring from which I drink daily. It is always exciting to discover a new artist or find a new track. On Soundcloud I can communicate a bit with the artists themselves which is always thrilling. None of my own peers are into what I listen to. If I go to a social gathering-ie. play poker with some friends if they see me pull out a cd that I have burnt they just put up their hands and make crosses as though they are warding off dracula from sucking the life out of them. I need to find a better card game.
So I am most grateful to the Soundcloud people-the artists and the followers and those who comment. It is nice to know others even in an abstract and surreal way-that is where I seem to hang the most comfortably anyways. Nice to almost know you.
As a postscript to this I have now uploaded a great deal of my artwork onto Flickr where my screen name is offshore geometries. Enjoy.

Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic created the Mistique Music imprint in 2008. Over the course of the last 5 years the label has grown into one of the most recognized and loved imprints in the progressive house underground. Mistique has become one of the ideal electronic music avenues for both seasoned producers and new up and coming talents to showcase their skills. The label has since branched off into several other areas with Mistique Digital,  Mistique Emotion and Mistique Dream all focusing on other genres including Tech House, Ambient, Electronica and Trance. Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic are now set to embark on a new label project entitled 'Kunai'. The "Kunai' imprint has been created to showcase the newest original material from Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic in conjunction with some very special remixes which will accompany each release. The top talents  and most highly regarded names of electronic music will be showcased on Kunai and thus the label will keep to a much stricter and more spacious release schedule of about 10 per calendar year.  Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic will look to expand their far reaching sound even further on Kunai and with several A-list remixes already completed Kunai looks set to be one of the best new labels as 2013 moves forward.
