Join us as we showcase a series of captivating mixes from some of our favourite DJs and producers, each one offering a unique glimpse into the world of the KUNE festival, get immersed in the soundscape, and transport yourself to a place where the Scandinavian subculture reigns supreme.

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲, we have invited Kasper Marott (@kaspermarott), a friend of and a regular guest at KUNE. Born and raised in Copenhagen, Kasper began his journey as a DJ and producer in the local electronic music scene, drawing inspiration from the sounds of the 90s rave era, and has become one of the most exciting names in the international scene, playing at some of the most prestigious venues and festivals in Europe, such as Berghain and Bassiani.

His sound is dynamic and versatile, containing a mix of old-school house and hypnotic techno with a pinch of dreaminess and patient buildup that all together creates an atmospheric trip on the dance floor.

KuneScape 01: Kasper Marott

𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗞𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲 - A mix series showcasing artists and sound affiliated with KUNE Festival.

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲, we have invited Xyro and Keeptress. With some significant accomplishments under their belt, they are quickly growing on the Copenhagen scene.

You might know them from Academeia, a collective effort aiming at growing a healthy scene and restoring the art and freedom within. Hosting artists like Jasss, Cem, Answer Code Request, Newa, Koloah, Nicole, Katerina, S.O.N.S and K.O.P 32 as well as local heroes & legends Vanity Productions, Ctrls, Xuri and our own Interflow and Kasper to name a few!  

When listening to their sets, you will find yourself on an emotional journey with some deep yet rhythmic punches. A trip with them is guaranteed.

KuneScape 02: Xyro & Keeptress

𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗞𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲 - A mix series showcasing artists and sound affiliated with KUNE Festival.

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗲𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲, we have invited Cirkeline (@cirkelinekenya) and Téa (@teateatea123)two, up-and-coming prominent DJs on the Copenhagen scene. 

These two are no strangers to the KUNE festival. Playing individually in the previous years, in 2023, they're back, joining forces to open together the Vessel Stage. 

Born and raised in Copenhagen, Cirkeline and Téa started their individual artist journeys a couple of years ago, fast forward today are active players on the local scene. Their approach to music is fluid, shifting between genres, moods, and energies, bringing high-voltage sets crafted for each night and venue. 

Besides playing at some of the most exciting nights and venues in Denmark, both of them are also contributing to building the local scene landscape. Cirkeline, with her collective 'Sweetie', has been a driving force behind numerous parties, inviting artists like Maara and Sansibar. On the other hand, Tea keeps busy running the well-loved Det Rene Glass and now also contributing to curating nights at Baggen.

Hey Everyone <3

Here is the recording of my set at the lovely Kune Festival in Ungdomsøen Island, Denmark.

Kune is A 5-day festival that takes place on an island 30 minutes away from Copenhagen. It is the second time I play this festival and it has always been a very special show. The stages are outsanding and the crew behind it is really pationate, as well as the crowd coming to the festival. I was also able to play vinyls which is quite unique at festivals these days. To me, Kune feels like an extremely well organised free party rather than a proper festival and I love it!

I don't really often release recording of live shows as sometimes it takes time to find the right vibe, and I am always trying different things in order to catch everyone's mood :)
This time was pretty smooth and I played some of my favorites. Even If I played the "techno stage", I tried to keep it quite housy and played faster than I usually do but still kept it groovy and fun.

KUNE festival begins its all day takeover with an hour from Christina Evangelista. A slick, bumping hour of that minimal/tech-house fusion perfect for daytime foot movements. Simone Ellis, 100Hz, and Guy Contact comprise this hour showcasing some of the brighter, bouncier sonics which make up the island festival.

Infectiously groove maxed and subtly diverse, its a tour-de-force in that grin-inducing style of house perfectly paired to the late afternoon sun. Features music from Tandoori, Schatrax, and The Outsiders to name but a few.

A journey in an almost literal sense. Martinou provides an hour of contemporary-leaning minimal with that early 2010s sonic flavour. The Swedish native provides a masterclass in building expectations and maintaining flow through expert layering and track selection. Really entrancing. Features music from Tibi Dabo, Blue Channel, and Ovend.

Local Phloem steps to the plate for the Kune Takeover in signature style. A mixed bag of hypnotic deep techno, bouncy minimal house and progressive tech/house/trance, it's a nice showcase of certain modes of musical diversity encapsulated in Kune. Features music from Command D, Dousk, Simone Bauer, and many others.

On Thursday night Behrang Mohmmadi (@behrangmohammadi) delivered a texturally screwed mix of 4x4 club sonics. Setting a well paced momentum into the night, its 3 hours blending warping techno and generally off kilter dynamics into a cohesive and effortlessly eccentric ride. A mix-as-expression of diverse methods in movement.

Kune Festival 2025: Behrang Mohammadi @ Space Stage

Stage designer-come-DJ cdjtigersnake (@djtigersnake) delivers a set almost designed for the stage he helped design. Layering humanist harmonics over broadly rolling progressive sentiments and jacked 4x4 techno. It’s a tasteful ride through the Austrian native’s machine consciousness.

Kune’s own Maria (@maria-cph) delivered a heady drum-circle of subdued mystic rhythm in a deep and playful hedonia. Essences of dub, hypnotic techno, and light leftfieldism coalesce here to form wormholes in Vessel’s concrete heart. Haunting and driven in equal parts.

Vessel was summoned to the outer realms in these 3 hours delivered by Rachel Noon (@wasps-world). Effortlessly playful techno both deep and ecstatic in equal measure, Noon provided an unrelenting ride through all the weird edges which can surround a 4x4 drum.

Bjarke Høver’s (@bjarkehoever) sundown Vessel set was a meeting, a through line, between weird minimal techno, progressive hypnotics, and tricked out tech house. A cage rattling mix both attitudinal and sensual in equal part, and wholly unafraid to switch styles into a singular, cohesive method.

Kune Festival 2025: Bjarke Høver @ Vessel Stage

One half of the mind behind our festival’s curation, Kasper (@kaspermarott) delivered on a signature mix of ethereal, deep, and progressive techno to swirl under the morning sun. Rolling rhythmically for the whole 3 hours and splashing moments of ecstatic humanism throughout, this is Vessel in perhaps its truest form; sunrise, fog, and a collective, concrete-shaking movement.

Meditative essences and subtly intricate downtempo rhythms comprised Studio Natura’s (@studio-natura) set at Astral Stage. Naturally tinted ambient washes buoy the mind, giving room for light drums, dubbed out echoes, and acoustic, folk-esque musicality. It’s a mix that delves deep into an edgy kind of romanticism.

Phloem (@phloemmm) swirls through 2 hours of progressive trance awash with that 2000s styling. Rolling low-ends interspersed with creative drum play and flashes of psy-esque scatters; it’s edgy and hypnotic in that distinct kind of way achieved through progressive tech-trance. Think smoked out midnight lasers in the dark.

Spaced out ambience leads into 2 hours of acoustic instrumentation and harmonic vocal layers. Kasper Marrott’s (@kaspermarott) Astral set was a welcome release into the more human and natural edges of the musical palette on offer at the festival.

Space stage to a T, Lentza (@lentzaa) and Christina Evangelista (@christina-evangelista-cph) deliver 2.5 hours of proggy-techy-romanian house. Deep and charged in equal part, it's got both the 4x4 attitude and brain tingling weirdness so often found in some of the best in the style. Straight to the point.

The much praised Space stage swirl by local favourite Hugo (@djseaview). Delivering on his signature ‘steak house’ style, this mix puts a sound to a label. What follows is 2.5 hours of attitude laced minimal-techno and tech-house filled with ear-worm melodies and off-kilter rhythmic scatters, all coalescing into a set both atmospherically entrancing and rhythmically swaggered.

As part of the Omen Wapta (@omenwapta) takeover Martin Gilleshøj (@martin_gilleshoej) delved into a sea of spellbinding enchants. Foggy ambience builds into driving minimalism and scattershot low-end rhythm, ending on dense clouds of ghost-like essences. Singular in its deliverance.

KUNE’s own Alin (@alinkbh) stepped into Space as only someone with such a years-long intimacy with those concrete walls could. 2 hours charting a subtly hypnotic course of minimal techno and house laced with entrancing earworms and weird progressive contrails. Maestro.

Omen Wapta’s (@omenwapta) own Harald Uunk (@haralduunk) provided a liveset of haunting echoes, distorted washes, and sparse rhythmic fluxes. A sound distinct, inimitable, and so signature of the Omen Wapta milieu. These are spectres of lost drums buoyed on machine clouds. A dense fog.

Barbara B (@babsibbb) delivered 2 hours of machinist ambience and sparse dub sentiments to Astral stage. Completely in touch with the concrete floor and walls of that bunker-esque space, this is an exercise in deep introspection and emotive audio-invocation.

Iza (@izaisaiza) stepped to the plate, delivering unto Space stage a whirlwind mix of old-school progressive sleaze and tech-housey charm. It's a power hour of light-hearted yet deep selections maxing out on that driven, rolling, and ethereal signature for which she has become known.

Copenhagen local Cirkeline (@cirkelinekenya) delivered unto Beach Stage a pure musical distillation of the feeling of sand under feet and a sea breeze through the air. Easing into downtempo and acoustic sonics for the first part and building momentum throughout by way of various joyful selections of tech-house, breakbeat, and garage. Sets the pace, properly.

A closing set is always something special, and here is no exception. Thorgerdur (@thorgerdur-johanna) saw Space out with just over 3 hours of playful progressive wizardry. It’s deep whilst remaining ecstatic, charged; an ode to dancing impulses.

Nadia Struiwigh’s Vessel Stage offering was an exercise in hypnotism as much as it was an invitation to staggered rhythm. 2 hours delving into a kind of charged hymnal ecstasy, one sought via a long drift through broken beat, driving techno, and various modes which sat between the two. This is concrete zone-making of the highest order.

Textural minimalism taken to its outer limits. Into some electronic heart delved ****&c. for FEUM with an hour of deep experimental sonics delivered in a live set which layered long form ambience with sparse fluxes of signal noise. This is a nod to the machine spirit.

Space Stage’s more austere and mystic character was brought to the fore by Katerina, the night drawn in with a restrained kind of functionality. Long progressing hypnotism, ambient layers and stripped back rhythmics all strung with these driving 4x4 kicks made for an hour of fundamental, head-swirling, and restrained techno.

Echocord’s Kenneth Christiansen graced Space Stage with a set comprising all the core signatures of the seminal label. Building on a graceful edge, Christiansen rides on a subtle and restrained form of sub techno which slinks in and out of energetic rhythmics, each of them linked, buoyed almost, by those singular echoed atmospheres. Truly one of the best.

Sunken dub abstractions mark the essence of Mikkel Metal’s offering to the Astral Stage. For Echocord came a considered live performance of earthly ambience and digital experimentation, all siloed into a ride which matched its moments of introspection with those that subtly guided the body via grounded downtempo rhythmics.

Astral was turned inward in this deep and most literally psychedelic performance from Baronato Quattro Belleze. The group delivered an hour gazing through the weird and the eerie, it’s a mystic and almost macabre approach to noise built on live instrumental experiments and distortedly human sonic inputs; an auditory explication for those forbidden recesses of the soul.

Through some of the festival's final hours Takumi Inamoto (@takumiinamoto1994) delivered on a masterful display of deep precision selection. An exercise in a kind of subtly dystopian night-riding, it was 3 hours of heads-down darkened progressive trance funneled into Vessels concrete heart to shape an almost shamanic swirl through the night. This is music for those very depths; for the darkness merging with a dawning sun, a sea of bodies totally entranced within what became a long, hedonic, and  wholly singular moment.

If there is a fundamental sonic attitude to be drawn out by Space, it came through here as Hannah D’s (@hld) method in finding those middle grounds in tech-house, progressive, and psych-techno went on full display. Spectral atmospherics on a broadly rolling prog momentum intermeshed with a bouncier tech house edge gave a combined drive to 2+ hours of effortless dance-music

Opening Beach Stage with an experimental touch, Frederik Tollund (@frederiktollund) delved into the lighter edges of his musical signature with a 3 hour set which began towards abstraction and evolved into more functional modes. Zoning between the ecstatic and the introspective, this mix is testament to Tollund’s proclivity towards evolving sounds threaded by a distinct kind of auditory personality.

Group Therapy’s Beach Stage takeover was a standout, and this 3 hour joyride from Carlo & Selma (@carloselma) encapsulated the essence of both the stage and the collective. A course through high energy house and techno drenched with charm, it's a mix rooted both in classic house signatures and more contemporary, progressive body movements. Soundtracks for the sun drenched.
