Grown and raised in Paris, Bastian Cantino became obsessed with music early on. Playing, producing and DJing since 2010, he released music and played under various names.
Then he decided to explore most of Europe for 5 years before settling in Berlin where he felt he had the most to learn.
His eclectic style is the result of all those explorations. Mainly made of edgy British sensibility, the German taste for restraint and the will to bring deep emotional and cinematic atmospheres to the dancefloors.

Phi Phi et Marc Denuit unissent à nouveau leurs forces, cette fois-ci sur le superbe 'The Crossing Mind' qui fait suite à leur dernière collaboration avec 'Substructure'. Phi Phi a été une force constante dans la musique progressive et trance au fil des ans, restant fidèle à ses racines avec un éventail impressionnant de résidences, de performances dans des clubs et d'apparitions dans des festivals qui lui ont valu un statut légendaire. Son dévouement et sa passion pour le genre sont évidents dans chacune des pièces qu'il crée. Nous sommes tout aussi ravis que Marc revienne sur le label, après avoir déjà contribué au sein d'Innerphonic, connu pour ses productions de haute qualité. DJ depuis 1984, Marc a notamment effectué des résidences dans les meilleurs clubs belges. Il est passé à la production, livrant une musique exceptionnelle aux côtés de Mad Gregor depuis 2018. C'est fantastique d'avoir les deux artistes de retour avec nous chez Bonzai Progressive.

'The Crossing Mind' ouvre l'album, nous emmenant sur un chemin trippant et posant un groove progressif luxuriant dans le processus. Des percussions roulantes, des tambours percutants et une ligne de basse pulsée créent un premier acte dynamique. Des effets amples et des micro-trottoirs enchanteurs créent de la tension dans le groove, rehaussant l'ambiance sur la piste de danse. Une pause sublime révèle des qualités cinématographiques avant que nous ne nous dirigions vers la conclusion et plus de cette pure bonté progressive. 'Brainstomper' est le suivant, complétant la sortie avec un voyage proggy à combustion lente et puissamment profond. Des nappes évolutives reposent sur un lit de batteries serrées et de percussions brillantes, tandis que des basses épaisses soutiennent le bas de gamme. Sur la pause, nous entrons dans un monde cosmique, rempli d'effets spatiaux et d'arpèges hypnotiques qui créent une atmosphère plus sombre. Une coupe forte et solide qui s'adaptera certainement aux décors de voyage.

This is one of my favourite sets so far and it could become one of yours. Be ready to travel through trance (of course) with touches of latin core, psychedelic trance, rave and even some pop.

Italian producer Emanuele Barilli makes his latest move on Gabu Records with New Gizea, a three-track EP featuring two originals and a remix by German minimal legend Losoul. Rooted in deep, percussive grooves and immersive sound design, Barilli’s originals build a hypnotic, forward-moving energy that rewards the dance floor, while evolving layers with every listen.
