This set is crafted with a lot of intention and brings up the topics of power, change and love. Following the structure of the track titles while carefully listening to the specifically placed vocals, the story about freedom, it´s meaning and it´s challenges is told trough the music. This is my way of expressing myself and my thoughts in an artistic way.

SGS 015 - Stained Glass Sessions - Kurly Guest Mix

Here is the live recording of our b2b set played on the 06. July '24 for Beyond Definition Events at Sydney's techno cathedral Civic Underground, where we opened up the dancefloor to an excited crowd and a night full of pounding techno beats. We had the honour of supporting the interstate headliner, Australia's most successful female Techno Producer, Lisa May hailing at us from Melbourne's underground music scene. 
This is a carefully crafted melodic journey with a little spice of dark minimal techno which will get you moving in no time.

I am feeling super grateful for this opportunity and all the effort that went into organising this event. Such an honour playing along so man incredibly talented artists and producers. It was no surprise the night turned out to be unforgettable and seeing so many enthusiastic music lovers share this happiness in the same moment.

Here is my set from Your Shot 2024 (NSW Group 2) first played on the orange stage (main room). I was selected stage winner and went into the Wildcard Battle Offs performing my set again on the main stage in front of a fully packed Home The Venue. 
Unforgettable experience and a honour to play the music I am so passionate about to all these people <3

I started off with dark minimal techno and then transitioned into one of my favourite psychedelic techno tracks. Afterwards we pick up the pace and change to peak-time and driving techno, ending with some more known melodies and a true "feel-good" ending. I am so glad I was able to put together a lot of my favourite DJs/Producers to be featured in this special mix (setlist in the comments).

I hope you enjoy this powerful and fun techno mix, I absolutely love it !!

Changed into the next higher gear for this one - Kurly faster edition. Had a blast putting together is fast and bouncy set in which I also did more genre blending than usual and I had so much fun being creative with the tracks and finding the right balance. I love the way it turned out and how different feelings are created at different times. 
As always you will hear my signature blend of dark and light sounds within this journey, harder beats contrasting euphoric anthems. This one is definitely gonna make your head bop and get your feet stomping.

Kurly is german born Sydney based DJ who is a rising force within the underground techno scene. From the very beginning of her career her performances have captivated audiences and she quickly established a reputation as sophisticated selector of Psytech as well as driving Techno tunes. Her style is versatile as it is distinctive, seamlessly weaving between dark, brooding tracks and uplifting, peak-time anthems.

„Creating this set has been a challenge as I realised that in the techno music scene the vast majority of producers is male and there is a huge gap of female DJs and producers. However, for me it was very clear from the start that I want to play no less than %100 female produced tracks. 
I went on a beautiful journey trying to find female producers within my preferred genres and go beyond the few world known names. I found great pleasure in finding some of these artist and will be more conscious of playing more FLINTA produced tracks in all sets moving forward.
The set I created evolves in an emotional, vulnerable but nonetheless powerful way showcasing different strengths and challenges of being a woman.

The sound is a little different to my usual style - a smooth journey with longer transitions intended to take your mind to new places.
I hope it inspires more FLINTA to pursue their dreams and block out the noise of discouragement and criticism from others.
Music is all about community and sharing the joy with the people around us, we need to protect this spirit and support each other besides our differences.“
