Aural trace is the solo project of Berlin-based Chilean musician and producer Manuel Ortuzar, half of Random Atlas duo and co-founder of the record label Odd Pleasures. His signature sound blends influences from New Wave, Post Punk and Italo, resulting in energetic, dark and introspective music, combined with uplifting epic cinematic soundscapes.

He has released music on Ombra INTL, Play Pal Music, Melodize, Logical Records and Odd Pleasures. Upcoming works on the horizon to be announced.

But you’re not alone—everyone else is hurtling through space just as fast, gripping tight to their illusions of control, pretending they’ve got it all sorted. Bullshit. Behind every calm exterior is the same wild descent. The difference is, you’re awake. You see the truth: the whole thing’s a dive, and the sooner you get used to the fall, the better off you’ll be.

Forget comparing your fall to someone else’s staged landing. They’re in free-fall too, only they’re more concerned with how they look than where they’re going. So, what do you do? You lean into the madness. You ride the storm, eyes wide, arms out, and when the sun breaks through those black, swirling clouds for a second—you grab it. Because that’s all you need. One burst of light in the chaos. One moment where you say, “To hell with the rest of it, this is mine.” It’s not about sticking the perfect landing. It’s about taking the free-fall and turning it into your own goddamn victory lap.

Life isn’t a race to the bottom - It’s about what you do in the dive. Everyone’s plummeting, but the ones who get it? They’re not waiting for the ground to come rushing up—they’re making hay while the sun shines, laughing in the face of gravity, flipping off the universe as they catch the light that everyone else misses. That’s where the magic is. Not in the neat little packages of other people’s fake successes, but in the beautiful, insane moments when you’re still free-falling, and you realise you’re not crashing—you’re flying. So screw the comparison game. Screw the perfect ending. You’re not here to land; you’re here to burn bright on the way down.

THANATEROS #11

@sordid-sound-system made a storming entrance on Special place by remixing Treasure Island's track 'No Loss'. He returns to the label with his own productions, showing his mastery in the assembly of sonic atmospheres. Every element seems to fall right into place.

This EP is the closest that Sordid has come to flirting with the 1980s. Throughout its duration, you can hear the sonic imprint of early 80s neo-noir cinema such as Bladerunner, Scarface, and Escape From New York.

'I Dream Of Electric Sheep' delivers Sordid's so-called 'motorik dub', one foot in disco, one foot in the Caribbean, with a nod to Compass Point classics by the likes of Talking Heads and Grace Jones. Like the rest of this EP, these qualitative sounds called for a stellar remixer. With close to a hundred remixes under the belt for artists ranging from Radiohead to Isolée or Romanthony and a massive catalogue of productions that dared to leave dance music for ambient sonic explorations, @Ripperton was the perfect pick.

His reimagining of 'I Dream of Electric Sheep' transports us into daring dreamlike realms of rhythmic exploration, Deckard's beat-up Spinner escapes the smog of the dystopian city for the clouds high above.

Et outre être un artiste reconnu et apprécié, il est dj à ses heures.
Biberonné depuis l’enfance à l’italo-disco, il puise dans les nappes synthétiques et colorées des 80’s et 90’s pour nous faire traverser des décennies de dancefloor. Ses sets, toujours joyeux et high-énergiques, peuvent prendre des virages eurodance, trance et ravy.
Et pour courroner le tout, Tony a ouvert récemment avec Lucie Baumann, un café-bar à Plougasnou, le Marylène, auquel il dédie ce mix.

Originally reincarnating himself as Curses in 2007 the man has moved from strength to strength and we have followed his every step!  owner of Ombra international, a mainstay at Dischi Autunno and master of ceremonies at Nein Records Curses productions always hit the nail on the head!!  From Djin to performing as a live band we could not be more excited about hosting him at Revolver in but a few day's time!!
