Humbled to share Volume 51, the first mix by NY’s pent. Her music aims to explore sounds that interact with each other in a way that can be narratively / emotionally confusing, and the mix she’s shared feels reflective of that sentiment. It’s movements are thoughtfully tied together by texture, tone, and effected voice. The emphasis on mood takes precedence and bpm’s become obfuscated. An engaging / surprising trip all the way through.

Dream books tend to explain the titular dreams of teeth falling out as a signal that some of our needs have been neglected or sometimes as a prophecy of failure or loss. As distressing as it sounds, such dreams are not necessarily a bad omen – they may also foreshadow regeneration and rebirth

Recorded in 2020, Zaumne’s new album is a study of suppressed feelings crawling underneath the consciousness. A dense mosaic of lurking emotional states that we need to recognize and make peace with for our own good
