Kursiva es uno de los artistas de Drum & Bass con más proyección internacional que tenemos en nuestro país. Establecido en Córdoba y con cerca de 15 años de experiencia en la escena musical, ha sabido como alcanzar al público de todos los subgéneros dentro de la escena del drum and bass con un gusto exquisito y un toque característico que le acompaña en cada uno de sus proyectos.

En los últimos años hemos visto como ha recorrido el circuito de clubs y festivales por todo el mundo, destacando varias giras americanas en las que pasó por cabinas de México, Guatemala y Canadá, o actuaciones en Let It Roll o Dreambeach, conquistando al público con su show de infarto y sus producciones que han sonado en sesiones de artistas de la talla de Pendulum, Camo & Krooked, Noisia, Metrik, Calyx & Teebee por mencionar algunos. 

Desde que la pandemia nos ha dado tregua y el ocio nocturno está volviendo poco a poco a la normalidad, Kursiva no ha parado de actuar fin de semana tras fin de semana con una energía única que se contagia en la pista de baile. Cabe mencionar sus últimas actuaciones en Greenland DnB Festival en Eslovaquia, Circus Nation y Winter Festival en Granada y sus cierres apoteósicos en Dub Elements Open Air y Sala Cosmos en Sevilla o Terror Bass en Industrial Copera en las que dejó huella y pudo presentar sus nuevos trabajos obteniendo una excelente respuesta  por parte de los asistentes.

El cordobés no para de trabajar duro en el estudio desde donde trama toda la magia que le envuelve y en los últimos 6 meses ha lanzado varios releases tocando varias vertientes del drum & bass. Desde el sonido más pistero y comercial de  “Who I Am” o el tipo dj banger de “Big Tune” en la discográfica Bad Taste Recordings pasando por un sonido mas deep y mental en “The Marathon” lanzado en su propia discográfica “South Yard” o "Reprotechniks" en DEM Recordings sin olvidarnos de un sonido más soulful o liquid de “Lemmon Bay” en la discográfica Lizplay Records.

Kursiva cuenta con el apoyo de medios de renombre como la BBC Radio 1, Kiss FM o varios magazines como “Wololo Sound” y “Your EDM” para presentar en primicia sus trabajos, los cuales llevan varios años sonando en estaciones y programas de radio europeos. 

Además de su carrera como artista musical, Kursiva lleva adelante su negocio de grabación, mezcla y mastering “Loud Dynamics Studio” desde 2014 en donde trabaja para artistas y sellos tanto de música urbana como de electrónica. También está familiarizado con el mundo de la enseñanza ya que imparte cursos privados de mezcla y mastering desde hace varios años, sin olvidarnos de su canal de Patreon en donde impulsa las carreras de varios artistas emergentes en la península con sesiones de mentoría y feedback.

Diego el Cigala - El Ratón (Kursiva DnB Mix)

In this second instalment on the recently re-launched C4C Limited, we welcome Kursiva, alongside the vocal talents of Hijak MC and the production talents of Transforma.

Provoke' takes on the traditional neuro-infused roller but with Hijak MC's signature vocals. With craftily distorted bass and rolling drum patterns, Kursiva slowly begins to build his track layer on layer, creating a cascading monster. Bouncing between breaks, Hijak MC takes you deep into a dark and dirty world, one that forces the listener to pay attention.

Juggernaut' gradually moves itself forward on cranking drum patterns and slowly creeping synths cutting through the mix, edging out its atmospherics and then crashing forward on its grating snare. Pounding warped aquatic sub undertones rattle each beat, resulting in you becoming more tightly gripped with every sound and layer. This beast of a collaboration between Kursiva and Transforma demonstrates C4C's contemporary standards and elevated understanding of the realm they reign over.
