kurvi tasch formed when Oliver, Michael and Alex sat down in their Villeray apartment in the fall of 2011. Always consciously aware of pop structure and sensibility, they tried to channel the experimentation of Radiohead circa Kid A into a conventional rock three piece while still retaining the visceral excitement of the Clash and the melancholic melodrama of early Smiths records. This confluence of influences makes the music of kurvi tasch unique; but it is only the first phase in the swift development of a sonic oeuvre that expands with each new song. The boys are in the process of writing and recording their first full-length set to be out by early 2014.
