"Andrew Goodwin's new show BRITPOP debuts this Saturday (January 6th 1996) at 3pm-4pm, on KUSF (90.3FM).  Featuring the latest in British pop music, and a generous selection of oldies from sixties beat groups, seventies glam rockers and eighties New Wave artistes, BRITPOP will also offer special hour-long programs.

Producer/host Andrew Goodwin is associate professor of Communication at the University of San Francisco.  Goodwin has co-edited several books about pop music and is the author of Dancing in the Distraction Factory: Music
Television and Popular Culture (University of Minnesota Press).  He has written for the Village Voice, the New Statesman, the Listener, the Chicago Reader, Sight and Sound, Marxism Today, the San Francisco Bay Guardian and the East Bay Express.  In 1986 he contributed a song to the The Times album Enjoy (Artpop! Records) and currently he makes music with Theory Sluts.  His past productions for KUSF include "Spotlight on the Pet Shop Boys" (January 1993)."
