Please welcome AUCO for mix number 42 of the Oscillate Mix Series. I first met AUCO working as artistcare at a friend’s party this Summer and was immediately hooked by the dynamics and energy of their set. AUCO is a DJ, producer, radio host and label owner from London currently living in Berlin. Apart from djing Berlin's hottest parties, they are also one half of Infinite Quest alongside Neana which started as a radio show on Cashmere and has grown into a party series and also a label recently. This mix was recorded after a night out when AUCO was feeling particularly inspired by being able to move and feel their body within a club space after a long time of pandemic induced abstinence. Recently AUCO released their first solo EP on Infinite Quest Records. Thank you for bringing your energy to the Oscillate Mix Series!

Rift makes a powerful return on Dispatch Limited with the Black & Gold EP, a five-track collection that marks a fresh chapter in his sound. After stepping back from production to reset his creative direction, Rift channels a rawer approach, drawing on the influence of early 2000s drum & bass while weaving in the tense, atmospheric qualities of cinematic scores. The result is an EP that feels both stripped-back and expansive, balancing heavy pressure with eerie, suspenseful sound design.

The project is also shaped by visual art. The title track, “Black & Gold,” was the first piece written for the EP, sparked by inspiration from Bill Elis’ artwork. The visual tone of his work set the foundation not only for the track itself but also for the identity of the full release.

Across the EP, Rift explores themes of unease and intensity. From the brooding atmospheres of “Teardrops” and “Paralysed” to the rolling momentum of “Tremors” and “Sinners,” the journey culminates in the title track’s stark and cinematic presence. Each cut feels deliberately crafted, reflecting both a reverence for drum & bass history and a forward-focused creative vision.

The Black & Gold EP has already gained strong support across the scene, with Philth playing a central role in championing the tracks both in sets and during the production process. Additional support has come from Enta and Cause4Concern, underlining the impact of Rift’s return.

Bennelux, a duo consisting of Lux Familiar and Benncart has come a long way since kicking off their series of footwork EP's over a year and half ago. While honing their production skills with every release they have managed to receive much acclaim and support by the likes of Addison Groove, Om Unit or Traxman. Shortwhile after dropping the third installment, the Polish Juke members are back with the final part. Arguably their finest offering to date, "4/4" focuses on a more melodic spectrum of the fast-pasted, bass-oriented music native to the city of Chicago. The EP opens with "Knockin' Doors Down (Deep Burnt)", which utilizes a Freddie Hubbard sample used famously in a beloved deep house classic "Deep Burnt" by Pepe Bradock. Complex arrangment, ever-changing rhythmic patterns and a cavalcade of sounds lifted from numerous sources make up one of Bennelux's most impressive tracks. "Whatcha Need?" follows with a similar, laid-back vibe, combining beefed-up drums with a chilled out sample and vocal chops, making it a track suitable for both club and home environments. "Together" is a hard-hitting footwork take on 1995 Omni Trio track of the same name, ready to set off any dance floor on fire. The climatic finale comes with "(We Will Be Here) Forever" , a deep mixture of dreamy chords, loads of low end and KRS-One vocal samples, which make a bold statement about the duo's plans for the future. Now, after their four-part series has come to an end, Benncart and Lux will focus on finishing their album, for which every fan of footwork music should be on the lookout for.

Paulinhx is a selector and multidisciplinary artist from Gasconha and the Basque Country, now spinning in Berlin, with a career spanning over 15 years across diverse dancefloors, radio waves, and cultural institutions. Blending feminist poetics, diasporic memory, and political resonance, their genre-fluid sets and sound works move between ritual, resistance, and rave.

A resident at Organ Phantom and Jazz Athletic Club Radio (Bordeaux/Toulouse), Paulinhx has performed at numerous festivals and venues including RSO Berlin, CAPC Bordeaux, and more, sharing lineups with artists such as Kotoe, Nathalie Robinson, Lady Blacktronika, RP Boo, DJ Pierre Phuture, and Linn da Quebrada.

Beyond performance, Paulinhx is committed to uplifting fellow artists, actively contributing to artist care and curatorial work across scenes.
