Another new debut on the label with a huge end of summer release. Birmingham's Kusha steps back into the production game with a heavyweight release for us to close out the festival season.

Kusha started out in his young years as a drummer with dreams and aspirations to be in the music industry right away, following his then hero’s as a youngster, So Solid Crew, Dj Luck & MC Neat who had huge success in the charts back in the 90s.

It wasn’t until he got himself his first pair of belt drive turntables that he immersed himself into the DJing landscape it wasn't long after then he heard Skream’s `Midnight Request Line` track that he got hooked to Dubstep and high profile gigs and releases followed where he saw support from the likes of Rusko, Sake & Dj Target.

Fast forward to 2022 and Kusha is looking to reinvent himself with the sound that nurtured his passion in the early days. UK Garage.

i/ Vibe
Piano’s start of this absolute monster summer banger of a track and the vibe vocal to drop us into the main drop with elements of Grime and dub throughout while still capturing the essence of true UK Garage in the late 90s. 

This one is about to tear up dancefloors worldwide.

ii/ Be Free
We follow `Vibe` with another huge Piano intro reminiscent of the early 90s rave era. This along with the inspiring `Be Free` Vocal again leads us into a superb drop and yet another UK Garage monster is born. and ready to free your mind and body in the club.

Based out of Birmingham UK. Lee UHF has had a DJ career spanning over 2 decades, coming from humble beginnings growing up in Sheffield. 
From here, he first got a pair of Sound lab turntables from a friend in 1997 at the young age of 15, where he honed his craft playing UK Hardcore, Hard Trance & Gabber until finally getting his first rave/club booking in 1998 at the now legendary Uprising event ran by his favourite DJ Paul-O. 
A change of direction in 2008 saw Lee jump into the Drum & Bass scene and establish himself worldwide for many years to come Fast forward to today and Lee has performed all around the world on every continent, set up and ran 4 successful brands promoting events, toured with a live Drum & Bass band (including a Beatboxer), ran 5 different independent record labels, worked in the studio and produced some massive hits in their respective genres and more recently, has taken his `Dirtbox` brand into the fashion market with clothing.

We are proud to present, easily the biggest project of the labels history, the biggest project of any label we have been involved in full stop.

The Vibe City project.

22 artists, 21 tracks, 4 singles and 2 huge compilation albums spanning release dates across 2 whole months. 

And we are finally here.

This project was put together to not only bring to light new artists we were so excited to try and release with but that we wanted to show the range of the label and destroy any miscommunication that it ran as 1 single Drum & Bass Sound.

Dirtbox covers the whole spectrum of our beautiful music genre we all love and we felt it was time to dedicate some time to the Liquid drum & bass followers and bring them something quite special, and
rather epic.

After months of set backs, re-dos and “fuck it” days, The project has finally come to life and has reached the time to get it released to the masses, after 6 months of planning through artists,
distributors, press and an amazing set of bespoke artwork.

As you`ll see, the artwork represents what we see as a summer spectacular in Drum & Bass. with that added hint of fun turning each artist into their own specific Miami Vibe character for the project.
A big thankyou to everyone in the background working on this monumental project. 

It truly is something to be proud of by everyone involved.

1/ “Kusha- Come Back To Me”

We kick off LP 1 with a huge one. This not only is the first single released as a sampler of the album (Out August 11th) but has recently been selected to appear on BBC Introducing in July of 2023.

Within days it was then also selected as BBC West Midlands track of the week and was played 5 days on the trot by Rakeem Omar on the BBC Breakfast show on West Midlands radio.

Phenomenal work and lots more in store with this release as its seriously blowing up for everyone who hears it.

The track is laden with a huge summer vibe piano and a lovely pair of wobs. Plus lets not forget that ever present festival friendly vocal the crowds are going to be going insane for We are so excited for this project and hope you are too.

Following the global success of the first four tracks, Dirtbox Recordings proudly unveils the
second promo drop in the ongoing 2025 edition of the acclaimed Tape Pack Project.

This ambitious monthly series, featuring one exclusive track per month from Argentine powerhouse Noise Souls, continues to shake up the underground scene with fresh, forward-thinking sounds and ideas. 

What began as a late-night brainstorm between label head Lee UHF and boundary-pushing producer Shayper in December 2024, has rapidly evolved into a groundbreaking showcase of raw talent and creative momentum. Within mere weeks, the first episode launched on January 1st, 2024, setting the pace for what has become a hallmark series for the UK drum and bass label, Dirtbox.

Joining the mission early on, both Shayper and The Fi5th took the project to new heights by crafting full 12-track albums each for the inaugural run, cementing their place as key contributors to what’s become one of the most anticipated series with our peers and followers.

With the first 2025 drops receiving praise from fans and tastemakers across the globe, the
