Felipe López es un compositor y multi-instrumentista con dotes desde muy temprana edad, actualmente enfocado en diversos proyectos como productor y DJ en donde emplea instrumentos nativos, sintetizadores análogos, apoyándose del canto logra integrar la medicina del sonido y la meditación para dar vida a Semilla, proyecto con el que busca transmitir su mensaje de armonía y de despertar de la conciencia. 

Para este relato nos comparte un hybrid set con algunos temas de su autoría creando una sesión que oscila en el folclor y en la delicia de los sonidos lentos que sin duda brinda un aire fresco a los oídos y corazones.

Für mein treuestes Groupie, wichtigste Kritikerin, motivierteste Tänzerin und beste Unterstützerin - meine einfach wundervollste Schwester!

Ohne sie gäbe es kueksen vielleicht gar nicht. Als ich 17 und partytechnisch jungfräulich war (abgesehen von EDM in schlechten, oberbayerischen Dorfdiskos), packte sie mich kurzerhand ein und lud mich mitten auf der Fusion wieder aus. Was soll ich sagen? Schon der Soundcheck der Triebwerke versetzte mich in Entzücken! Tiefe Bässe aus dicken Anlagen, verspielte Melodien aus allen Himmelsrichtungen und diese magische Stimmung – so ist damals das kueksen geschlüpft.

Für diese Initialzündung und ihre treue Begleitung meines Weges seitdem, möchte ich mich nun einmal gründlichst bedanken! Daher diese Podcastreihe. #sistertapes halt....

For my most loyal groupie, most important critic, most motivated dancer and best supporter - my simply most wonderful sister!

Without her, kueksen might not even exist. When I was 17 and a party virgin (apart from EDM in bad, Upper Bavarian village discos), she unceremoniously packed me in and dropped me off again in the middle of Fusion. What can I say? Already the sound check of the soundsystems put me in delight! Deep basses from thick equipment, playful melodies from all directions and this magical atmosphere - that's how kueksen hatched back then.

For this initial spark and their faithful support of my way since then, I would like to thank now once thoroughly! Hence this podcast series. #sistertapes ....

Sistertape #5 'Golden Breath'

This set has a purpose. It is a musical statement about what Downtempo used to be, and an ode to its origins. It is not supposed to make you dance like crazy. It should aid you when you wake up and the rain splashes on your window and you really do not want to get up. This is the soundtrack for your autumn.

Why? Story time!
Recently I was invited to an extraordinarily sweet chill rave in Paris, organized by the awesome @kida-paris and @mmartincostaa. I rediscovered why I had fallen in love with the Downtempo scene in the first place: music full of emotions, analog and organic sounds, deep rhythms made not for going crazy on the dance floor, but created for being immersed in sound, for becoming one with the sound and the crowd in an almost spiritual experience. Well, anyhow, this is what Downtempo can do to you. And now here is my own take on this experience. A collection of music that will lift you up on rainy mornings.
