Rounding off March 2023 with a crowd banger, the german duo Zakari&Blange returns to AnalyticTrail with "Evil Dance" EP, a straight up Techno roller with bags of attitude. 

Zakari&Blange, also known as Farid Zakari and Chris Blange, have mastered the art of techno, unleashing their allover technoid heartbeat straight out of the depths of the Black Forest. 
Their catalog is full of successful releases on internationally respected labels such as Phobiq, Elevate, Loose Records and Funk'n Deep, receiving support from top-class acts like Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Luigi Madonna, Richie Hawtin, and Marco Bailey. 

Zakari&Blange have crafted a three-track release that showcases their signature sound with razor-sharp precision. EP title track Evil Dance opens the EP with gated vocals, groovy rhythms and dark sounds. Rising Sync comes second and carries the same mood but with a harder kick. Spacegrinder closes the EP with a punishing momentum and fast paced percussive rhythms.

Sisko Electrofanatik's record label Gain Records welcomes a dark and driving peak time techno release from Marbox, which also includes a remix by Mozzy Rekorder.

Marbox is an Italian artist from Turin whose style is a fusion of explosive percussion and menacing synth lines that create hard-hitting grooves. He is making his Gain Records debut following releases on respected techno imprints such as Odd Recordings, JAM, Codex, Reload and Riot.

Stepping up on remix duty, Mozzy Rekorder is a Gain Records regular who blends enthralling synth lines and high-velocity percussion to produce tracks that have unrelenting momentum. His tracks and remixes can also be found on other scene-leading record labels ranging from Terminal M to OFF Recordings.

"Unconventional" is first of the two originals and it opens the release with a monstrous kick drum, juddering high-end percussion and a hypnotic vocal sample, which lays the foundation for sweeping dystopian synths.

Mozzy Rekorder's remix of Unconventional works in a pulsating bassline and acid synth line, which along with the original's brutal percussion, creates a tantalising rework.

"Green Eyes Speaking" closes the release with fast-paced percussion rhythms and a thumping kick drum that's overlaid with the ominous tones of spine-tingling synths. Its industrial undertones and stripped-back sound design deliver a ruthless energy.

DJ, producer, and label owner Torsten Kanzler is known for his impulsive style and powerful productions – and his new EP on Kuukou Records is no exception. The title track 'Elements' draws you in with warm and deep sounds and a powerful base and then surprises you with an oriental vocal snippet. The second track 'Argos' (the many-eyed giant in Greek mythology) is much darker and drives on Acid sounds, percussive hi-hats, and a strong kick.

The Passengers series is a subdivision of Simina Grigoriu’s Kuukou Records which works to bring together VA releases from promising, lesser-known producers whose work propagates the same strain of sturdy Techno Grigoriu does in her DJ sets.
So far, the series has included 9 editions which have showcased electronic music from Belgium, Greece, Italy, Russia, the UK, Germany and more. A thread that runs consistently throughout the catalogue is one of functionality - each and every contribution does damage on the dance floor and the 10th edition is no different.
Raesfeld stalwart Roland Broemmel gets us off to a pugnacious start. Slapping claps, razor sharp acid lines and a rugged kick drum bubble under strong vocal cuts before Turkish DJ and producer Rodez follows up with a bold and punchy cut. Brazen, filtered stabs, interweaving percussion and pensive sequencing maintain an urgent vibe throughout.
Romanian producer Horace Dan D then lays out a playful bass-line which bubbles away under deep, dubby stabs and polyrhythms. A trippy synth bleeds in and mirrors the bass to arresting effect while drums open / close like a camera lens before Jahaya weighs in with a dramatic, high energy addition. 'Mars' brings textured high frequencies, vibrant drum fills and a bewitching riff with the end result being a fervid dance floor track in amongst a highly effective set of DJ tools.
