I unfortunately was only able to salvage an mp3 copy, meaning that its upload options to major streaming platforms were limited.  This song was very unique in that this was my first try tackling very distorted drums and bass, as well as a footwork focused style. It's one of my favorite songs i've ever made to date.

Concept (written for the project lol)
The concept of the song is dense. It's a Budots remix of The Internationale, which is the anthem of workers and socialism all over the world, but translated in Tagalog. First, the remix is Budots, which is the local electronic dance music genre in the Philippines. As is the case with many dance music genres in the global south, it's overwhelmingly popular among the masses, but tends to be dismissed by middle-upper class people. Secondly, the translation of the socialist anthem was also done by Prof. Jose Maria Sison, or as we affectionately call him in the Philippines, Joma. He's the founder of the greatest (and currently on-going) revolutionary movement in the Philippines, the National Democratic Movement, and also possibly one of the greatest revolutionaries of the past 100 years. A sample of him greeting activists during Christmas is featured in the beginning. He passed away last December, and this song is to honor him as well. Thirdly, I remixed this song because I feel like protest music does not have enough dance. A protest is an act of the revolutionary masses, and a massive part of the culture of the masses is dance and dance music. Dance music is powerful, and I believe it can have and needs a more prominent place in revolution. This remix is to help fulfill that vision, honor one of the greatest Filipinos who ever lived, and further legitimize Budots as a truly powerful genre.
