Our sixth Podcast is here and is the first one of our new 'Izcalli' Podcast series. Izcalli, translated from Nahuatl, means growth. As human beings and society we are in a continuous and endless growth, which helps us to form ourselves as community and ends up being the essence of our nature. 

On this occasion we introduce you to the Nicaraguan sound engineer and music producer @piakauitl. The face behind our beloved label finally comes to light. Pia displays some very dark and slow sounds, which have become very characteristic on his sets and productions in recent years. 'Cuicacalli' is the home of music for many internationally emerging and established artists. Our new line of Podcast 'Izcalli' is the continuation of five years in the 'underground music' scene, evidencing the development of our artists.

From the south of the Andes, crossing the Central American lakes, until reaching the cenotes of the north of our beloved Latin America, our father sun is reborn. The light emitted by it provides us with the necessary energy for the creation of life. 'Renacer Solar' was born from the inspiration of the tales of the earth. The rays and energy of the sun gives rise to 12 Latin American artists, from different cultures and influences, but with the same  heartbeat. The breath of the wind leads us through different cities in Latin America, unifying our hearts and minds under the same sanctuary, 'Templo Solar'. Our Temple is heaven.

Ich habe euch ein Goa-Trance Set zusammengebastelt welches eigentlich für eine Party vorgesehen war aber nun habters halt so. 
Diese Mukke geht schön nach vorne! Wenige Pausen, treibende Melodien und Oldschool-Sounds. Ich habe diese Musik ins Herz geschlossen weil sie mich jedes mal (natürlich eher mit großer Anlage) in Fröhlichkeit abtauchen lässt. 
Wenn schon nicht auf dem Floor kann ich die Mukke auch sehr beim Fahrradfahren empfehlen;)

Ein geringer Teil der Tracks ist noch aus den 90ern doch die meisten sind von aktuellen Producern die den Sound neu aufleben lassen.

Viel Spaß bei dem Set!

Episodio 028 de nuestro querido podcast nos llega ahora desde Berlín con un hermano, amigo y consejero de @xlmusicni, la mente y el talento detrás de Cuicacalli. 

Pia Kauitl es ingeniero de sonido nicaragüense, productor musical, fundador del sello musical Cuicacalli Music y Co-Fundador de Templo Solar Rec. A través de su nombre y su sonido busca resaltar sus raíces, adaptándose a la vez a la escena underground alemana. Desde Barcelona, pasando por Frankfurt, llegando a Berlin ha presentado un sonido muy oscuro, enérgico y a veces melódico, mostrando un estilo de downtempo sombrío, muy único y especial.
