Joon Moon’s story started in 2014 in Montmartre, Paris, in the studio of the excessively discreet Julien Decoret, born of the desire to continue after touring with Nouvelle Vague, Florent Marchet etc. … and start his own project.

With all the creative decisions already made for keyboards, vocals and drums, Julien joined up with his pals Raphael Chassin and Sébastien Trouvé for both the studio recording and stage show that they had already collectively imagined.

In early 2015, thanks to chance encounters and other musically-minded friends like Marc Collin and Hugh Coltman, Julien Decoret met another artist with an impressive live show (and someone just as reserved as he is) - Krystle Warren, born in Kansas City and recently arrived in France.
The four had mutual friends, and after a few try-outs in the studio and a misunderstanding about a certain Alice / Juliette Lewis (a story that makes them all laugh even today) a real synergy came to pass, with Joon Moon the result - both in the studio and on stage.

Their first e.p. “Chess”, released late 2015, showcases a mix of precise and impressive pop and soul arrangements, hinting that the album due in 2016 will be an exciting discovery, joyfully crashing through numerous musical barriers.

A word of warning though - the siren-like voice of Krystle Warren may have you addicted to Joon Moon before you know it! “Apple Day”, “Chess” and “Help Me” are the first taste of a debut album undoubtedly full of surprises.

It’s sometimes good to keepadmirers at a distance. For her “come-back” album, Brisa Roché followsthis rule to the letter.Afterfour albums in France, she returned to her native California—not the one with six-lane highwaysand palm trees, but the one up north, where mountain lions roam,and sequoias tower. There, hiddenin  her  home-studio,  she  channeled  song  after  song,  inspired  by  tracks  arrivingfrom producersall over the world. Some sent sound hoping to re-provoke songwriting in the vein of jazz-singer-Brisa freshly arrived in France the moment the Twin Towers fell, who haunted the stages of Parisian caves with ahigh shadowy voice, forcing journalists to compare her to Billie  Holiday.  Others  sent  what  revealed  a  preferencefor  theavant-gardismof  “Mystery Man” off ofher first record on Blue Note, that transported fans withpop as daring as it was sweet. Still other composers sent tracks they hoped would prolong the sound they loved in her hits “Whistle”and “Call Me”, from her psych-folk period.But  of  course,  Brisa  did  not  revisit  the  past.  She  invented  a  future,  a  space-time  exercise, creating songs  across  thousands  of  miles,  across  musical  genres,  where  a  voice  springs  as easily  from  a  computer,  an  applauded  stage,  ora  virgin  forest.  The  album  INVISIBLE  1  istitled  such  because  anythingis  possible  when limitations  imposed  by  astudio setting are discarded,  when  judgments  and  timidity  are  veiled  by  distance,  when  collaborations multiply  across  the  waves,  when  intimacy  with  strangers  makes  art. Brisawrites  quickly, urgent  with  the noveltyof  imported  sounds  and  privacy,  40  melodic  arrangements,  40 stories told, narrowed down now to a 14-song album with two sides, upon which two sides of her personality dance.The “introvert side” nestles on Thibaut Barbillon’s intimate guitars and soaring chords, the singer a dreamer and an insomniac, giving herself up in confession. As if escaped from a girl group, she invites us to walk with her, or to lock ourselves in her room withher.The “extrovert side”, sunnier with a more electronic feel and Blackjoy at the control panel, features  ideas  from  co-producer  Marc  Collin  (Nouvelle  Vague,  Yasmine  Hamdan,  Elodie Frégé...), upon which Brisa’s voice is amplified, playful as a Kate Bush, serious as a Lana Del Rey.This  production,  free  from  all  constraints,  between  continents,  out  of  French  studios, American  studios,  home-studios, underground  studios,from  Paris  to  the  American  West, gives us a new Brisa Roché. Bossa Nova = Nouvelle Vague = New Wave. This transliteration was the starting point for Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux’s unique project, which, by appropriating the punk and post-punk cannon and running it through the Bossa Nova filter, reinvented the cover band genre, revealing new and brilliant talents along the way: Camille, Phoebe Killdeer (whose Fade Out Lines was remixed by The Avener), Nadeah, Mélanie Pain, and, soon, Liset Alea.

The gambit paid off, with sales of over one million records over four albums released between 2004 and 2010, and world tours that included stops at venues such as London’s Royal Albert Hall, L.A.’s Hollywood Bowl and Paris’ Olympia.

Since 2011, Nouvelle Vague had stopped recording, focusing on an innovative live show created in collaboration with the mythical Jean-Charles de Castelbajac (Ceremony and Dawn of innocence), and branching out into different projects: Olivier’s Uncovered Queen of the Stone Age, and Marc’s Bristol, along with his Kwaidan label.

The time seems right to write a new chapter in the Nouvelle Vague saga: with a new album “ I Could Be Happy” and live show, the band and its coterie of female vocalists continue their time travels with a renewed alegria.

Nouvelle vague by Nouvelle Vague and Some Friends is thus more of a nexus of forthcoming projects:

A new album comprised of punk and post punk standards imbued with the inimitable Nouvelle Vague touch, and, for the first time, a bevy of surprising Collin/Libaux which prove that the two producers are more than prodigious arrangers. This album is also the opportunity to gather again the pionner singers of Nouvelle Vague: Élodie Frégé, Mélanie Pain, Liset Alea and Nadeah and to find other guests as Camille or Clara Luciani.

Reworked versions of Nouvelle Vague classics, recorded with traditional live musicians along the way during the last few years’ Starwood/le Méridien Hotel: In A Manner of Speaking with a Cuban band from Tampa, Killing Moon in a Mexican mariachi lilt, Ever Fallen in Love with Indian instruments – proving once more that these songs can be stretched and molded into any genre, in the same way as the Beatles or Bacharach repertoires.

For the first time, remixes by Dream Koala, Caravan Palace and a number of other surprises.

A Marc Collin-directed documentary retelling the project’s history from its inception, along its albums, vocalists and through footage of its most dream worthy moments all around the world. And, of course, a worldwide tour which will begin in Europe and Asia, in the fall, and will continue through South America and the U.S.A. in the new year, and feature the entire crew on stage, around Marc and Olivier: Mélanie Pain, Élodie Frégé, and Liset Alea.

Fort d’avoir remis au goût du spritz la variété italienne en France, Alex Rossi revient le temps d’un album intemporel et définitif (signé par Kwaidan records et accompagné d’agnès b) sur ses origines transalpines, de Lucio Battisti à Pino D’Angio et sur sa déviance pour l’Italo-Disco. « Domani è un’altra notte », c’est son titre, sortira à l’automne aux premiers jours de l’été indien réalisé par « La Famiglia » aka ses amis Arnaud Pilard et Romain Guerret (Dondolo, Aline). 
6 ans après « L’ultima canzone » (sorti chez Born Bad), Alex Rossi « le plus italien des chanteurs français » ne pouvait pas rester que sur ce succès.
« Tutto va bene quando facciamo l’amore » est le premier extrait de son testament rital où tout est résumé en une seule phrase. Gimmick fédérateur qui donne envie de faire l’amour « con piacere » n’importe où et n’importe quand et où se balancent pendentif et gourmette dorés sur un tube humide accompagné par la chanteuse Jo Wedin qui lui souffle « J’adore le sax » joué par Laurent Bardainne (Poni Hoax, Limousine).

After having blown a refreshing breeze of Italian pop over France, Alex Rossi is back with a timeless and authoritative album (released on Kwaidan Records with the help of agnès b) centered around his Italian roots, from Lucio Battisti to Pino D’Angio, and for his Italo-Disco leanings. Entitled “Domani è un’altra note”, the full-length, which was produced by “La Famiglia”, aka his pals Arnaud Pilard and Romain Guerret (Dondolo, Aline) will be ready just in time for Indian Summer.
Six years after “L’ultima canzone” (released on Born Bad), Alex Rossi, “the most Italian of French singers” could not simply rest on his laurels.


“Tutto va bene quando facciamo l’amore”, the first single from this Italian testament, sums it up in one neat sentence. A unifying, gimmicky ditty that makes everyone feel like making love “con piacere” (anytime, anywhere) swings like a heavy gold chain and matching bracelet over a sweaty number featuring singer Jo Wedin, who coos “J’adore le sax”, played by Laurent Bardainne (Poni Hoax, Limousine).

Alex Rossi is back with a timeless album (released on Kwaidan Records in partnership with agnès b.), all about his Italian origins, from Lucio Battisti to Pino d'Angio, and tinted with his Italo-Disco fetish. Entitled "Domani è un'altra notte", it will be released in November, and was produced by "La Famiglia", aka his friends Arnaud Pilard and Romain Guerret (Dondolo, Aline).
Six years after "L'ultima canzone" (released on Born Bad), Alex Rossi, "the most Italian of French singers" was not about to sit on his laurels. "Tutto va bene quando facciamo l’amore", which was released in June and has been setting dancefloors on fire ever since, is given the remix treatement in the dog days of summer, by no less than Julien Barthe (Plaisir de France), Jabberwocky, Lifelike and Yuksek. Close your eyes when listening to this vital, earworm-y single which will anchor the album and be transported straight to Italy, as the 60s-inflected backing vocals by the duo of Jo Wedin and Jean Felzine (Mustang) glide over Laurent Bardainne's (Poni Hoax, Limousine) timeless sax.

"I generally find it hard to remix a song that I know and like, but in this case, the Italo disco vibe was quite attractive and fun for me to work with, because it's  bit outside of my comfort zone. My latest productions are more influenced by classic late-70s tropical disco, so I got a good headstart!" 
Jabberwocky: 
"We fell in love with the original track from the get-go. It works with the aesthetic of our latest tracks. It's been a blast to keep Alex Rossi's italo disco summer with our remix!"

Fort d’avoir remis au goût du spritz la variété italienne en France, Alex Rossi revient le temps d’un album intemporel et définitif (signé par Kwaidan records et accompagné d’agnès b.) sur ses origines transalpines, de Lucio Battisti à Pino D’Angio et sur sa déviance pour l’Italo-Disco. « Domani è un’altra notte », c’est son titre, sortira à l’automne aux premiers jours de l’été indien réalisé par « La Famiglia » aka ses amis Arnaud Pilard et Romain Guerret (Dondolo, Aline).  
6 ans après « L’ultima canzone » (sorti chez Born Bad), Alex Rossi « le plus italien des chanteurs français » ne pouvait pas rester que sur ce succès. 
« Tutto va bene quando facciamo l’amore » premier extrait solaire de son testament rital sorti en juin et certifié tube de l’été revient en cette rentrée, remixé par la tendance actuelle de la scène électro à savoir Julien Barthe de Plaisir de France, Jabberwocky, Lifelike et Yuksek, rien que ça ! 
Autant de remixes taillés pour le dance-floor et provoquer l’extase des corps et des sens, si possible à plusieurs. L’été n’en finit pas avec Alex Rossi. 
 
Yuksek : 
« Généralement j’ai du mal à remixer un morceau que je connais et que j’aime mais dans ce cas le parti-pris Italo disco était assez évident et plaisant pour moi car ce n’est pas vraiment ma zone de confort. Mes dernières productions sont plus influencés par les classiques disco/tropical fin 70, j’ai gagné une bonne dizaine d’années :) » 
Jabberwocky: 
Nous sommes tombés amoureux du morceau original dès la première écoute, son esthétique correspond à nos inspirations du moment sur nos derniers titres. C’est donc un plaisir de prolonger l’été italo disco d’Alex Rossi avec notre remix !
