I shed tears listening to this. I miss you oshiitiii!

"My Lost Friend" was written in 2014 by Nana Fredua-Agyeman Jnr, after the demise of his close friend, Kwabena Akyeampong popularly known as Sh*tman, who lost the battle to a deadly kidney infection on the 31st day of December, 2013 at the age of thirty-one (31).

MY LOST FRIEND
DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF MY FRIEND AND BROTHER, KWABENA AKYEAMPONG a.k.a SHITMAN (30/03/1982 – 31/12/2013)

"Madamfo pa bεko agya me" was a saying I used to hear 
Little did I know my personal experience was near
In fact, it came without notice and it is here
This is indeed a major blow and not mere

We make friends along the way as we grow
Yet it is not all who make us smile and glow
Share in our troubles and move with us to and fro
Now I feel amputated as my movement is slow

Of all the people in the world, I wonder why this happened to him
A young man full of life, vigour and vim
With a high interest in rides and rim
A bright and promising shining star suddenly turned dim

A million questions asked but not a million answers told
I've lost a treasure incomparable to diamonds and gold
An affable youngster so confident and bold
Just a year and three decades old
The icy grips of death chose the last day of the year
To give me an unforgettable gift of the New Year
I was shattered, dumbfounded and struck with fear
As I came to terms with the loss of my friend with whom I had once shared a beer

His memory will forever remain with me because that’s all I have left
I still have the Von Dutch hand band he gave me which I’ve long kept
When news of his passing was broke to me as Lazarus’ to Jesus, I wept
Remembering our hope of growing old together and watching it being swept   

He was the most hostile host on his final journey
Lying stiff and not rising to receive his guest
All he needed was his acceptance in Heaven and not a penny
My heart is soothe by the fact that he has a perfect place to rest
