Ok so yeah this is a little track I might have made maybe. I started with a funny melody in chrome musiclab which I kinda liked, and put it into an LMMS track which conveniently had an organ sample selected. The result sounded really interesting, I really liked the artificial sound of the organ. Fast forward a couple weeks and the result is this :D

The track uses some kinda spicy scale of which I do not know the name. I could figure it out very easily but doing so would require more than 2 minutes of work which is unacceptable. (It's the B Harmonic Major apparently, though I never use the C# so it might as well be the B Double Harmonic. Actually it's probably the E Lydian Diminished, as I'm pretty sure the base note is E and not B.) The spicy scale idea actually arised when I was listening to Daisy 2.0 by Ashnikko, of all things.

The swing ending is a funny haha twist I wanted to add because I am very much an artist ooohh wow cool haha hehe wow I really like how it sounds personally hehe

Hecticity

So this is a track I've been working on for quite a while. I finally like it enough to upload it. It is basically 2 songs in one, which go together very nicely.

The theme of this song is loudness, basically. I got inspired by Diminished Mind's AFTERIMAGE (which is an absolute slapper btw). I really like it when very loud sounds are incorporated into music like this. Not necessarily loud as in high volume, just.. loud. I like it when there's like 6 different instruments playing different notes on top of each other, filling my ears with noise.
I also kind of like the sound of clipping, when I add it deliberately. I do hope that this sounds the same as in LMMS though, I did my best to avoid actual clipping because that shit sounds horrible.

This is definitely my favorite out of the things I've made so far. I hope you enjoy it too :)

INTERFERENCE

Time to rant about this track even though I know not a single soul will read this
Ok so this is a funny little track I put together during the last few weeks. I had the melody months ago but kinda forgot about it until a few weeks ago.
It started with the funky melody you hear at the start, and kind of grew into an entirely different thing later on. It goes literally all over the place, I'm aware of that, but it was kind of too late to fix that. I also kind of like the chaos of it.
I made the melody when experimenting with a kind of weird version of a 3/4 time signature. With that I mean relatively low tempo (140 bpm in this case) 3/4, but the beats are split up into so many notes that it feels a lot faster. Every beat is split up into 2, sometimes 4 notes. Kicks are played at the start of the beats and snares at the middle of every beat (off-beats). This means you get 3 kicks per bar, instead of the usual 1. According to an obscure website I found it's called 3/2 but that could very well be wrong. (Edit: I think it's 12/16 actually, because it sounds like every bar contains 12 16th notes. Edit2: nono it's definitely 6/4, I'm pretty sure it's 6/4.)
I got the idea from Appetite of a People-Pleaser, which I really enjoy because of this funky time signature (it has like 3 others in it but this is the main one). If anyone knows if this has a name, please tell me.

Anyway it started with the melody at the start, followed by some interesting thing I did by shoving a bunch of very far-apart notes into a sliding instrument which creates a cool 📈📉📈📉 sound. That sounded dumb if I repeated it for more than like 2 bars, however, so I followed it up by something else. I ended up liking that "something else" so much that I just thought "fuck it time to copy paste" so now it's at the end of the song too hehe. The part in between is a melody of which I highlight certain parts (every second bar) with every instrument at my disposal, which sounds pretty cool imo.

Ok so that was a rant. Long story short I need to get better at mixing and mastering also I need to sleep I have a test tomorrow wtf am I doing holy shit I need to sleep

Hi yes I am back again, I wanted to just say that I absolutely love making these dumb absurd cover art pictures. I really like how this one looks. It is (of course) made using GIMP, which is actually a pretty good alternative to Photoshop if you actually give it a try for more than an hour.

Muisjes

Ok so this is absolutely most definitely a track I made. 
I've been working on this for way too long, I keep putting off uploading it. I definitely like Muisjes more than this one, but this one is also pretty great. I went kinda wild with the sidechain on it, which creates a pretty nice effect in combination with the harpsichord. (If you couldn't tell I really like harpsichords.)

It kinda sounds like the type of things pirates on cool flying futuristic pirate boats would be into. It also kind of sounds like the kind of thing you would listen to while skipping through a nice calming mountain field on a sunny summer day. This is where the name comes from (huppelen is skipping in Dutch).

But yeah, there's another song, good luck listening to it 👍

Nonsense about the track nobody cares about:
It uses a swingy-maybe-12/8 typa beat. Funny thing about that is that I kinda messed up the melody in LMMS from the start, placing a measure of notes into 2 LMMS measures, meaning the BPM is 265 while it sounds like 132.5. This was also kind of annoying with quantization, but oh well.
I really like how the chords sound past 1:19. I should do more with chords, chords are cool.
It maybe has a slightly too long ending, and a lot of other things that could be improved about it, but honestly, I just want this thing finished. I've been working on this for way too long and I want to move on to other things.

Huppel

Here you go, been working on this one for a while. I really like how this one sounds, I think it would be a tie between Muisjes and this one for me, if I hadn't fucked up the mixing/mastering so bad. It sounds like garbage on this website sadly. I might one day remaster this track.
I've had this track in my files for months now. The first and last parts were made very early in the process. After those two parts I just kind of didn't know what to add anymore, however. I first had a kind of really weird experimental loud beat/bass driven part in between, but it sounded very out of place. I ended up saving that for a future track, because I did like the sound of it.
I'm kinda annoyed at how hard it is to get things to sound the same in SoundCloud as it does for me in LMMS. This is apparently a problem with mixing and mastering, which, I recently discovered this, are both very difficult. I ended up just turning down the master volume to 35%, after which the biggest peaks luckily stayed below the -1dBFS point, which SoundCloud is a fan of. I hope this doesn't make the track incredibly quiet compared to others on the website. Edit: nope yeah it absolutely did. Well, I'm not reuploading it so you'll have to live with this version. (You can always download the wav, of course.)
Oh right yeah btw, this track was inspired by Sasuke Haraguchi's "Yure Ko", as well as by Ferry's "Coordinate Shift". Mostly the cool beat parts honestly. Both songs have very cool beats.

Insect Orchestra

Wow omg amazing it's a track woohoo I did it I posted a track omg wow!!
This one has been cooking in my project folder for like 2 months now. I started making this by just amplifying the shit out of an instrument and then hard-limiting it. This created such a cool sound that I kinda maybe made a whole track with it.
The ending is maybe a little bit long with like the harp and the other part following it but I was really proud of that last part so I didn't want to not use it so haha here you go woohoo
I still have that fucked up extended excerpt of Insect Orchestra simmering, though idk how long it'll take me to finish that one. It's a real banger imo, and I want to get it right. I also don't know how to continue it. I've revamped the second half of it so many times these last months and I cannot get it right for some reason.
Anyway yeah I do like rambling wow what should I talk about now RIGHT yes the image haha the image oh I should also talk about the voice lines in this track I'll do that after talking about the image.
Ok so the image is literally just an image of my face that I messed around with in GIMP until it looked like this lmao haha. It came out looking like an eldritch horror which is what I was going for so yeah mission accomplished I guess. 
The voice lines are my own voice, thrown through about 27 different filters. It's actually more like 3 effects but still. It's just small bits and pieces of a microphone screaming session I did. I did say words in that session but they were very nonsensical and are almost unrecognizable in this track. I also just kinda lalala'd along with the melody and recorded that which you can hear on two separate occasions. I do plan on using my voice more because it sounds kinda cool. I might also dabble into UTAU a little bit because woo open source Vocaloid
I really didn't know what genre to give this (as is usual with my music). I could go for a custom genre but eh EDM fits well enough.

Anyway yeah so for the inspirations: I was heavily inspired by Ghost's "CULPABILITY AND THE PANOPTICON". Big fan of that track btw. I was also again very much inspired by the bs Diminished Mind pulls on his third SoundCloud account. Great stuff over there.

MEANINGLESS RAMBLINGS

So this is something I've literally been working on for like 9 months. "Working on" of course means that the oldest version of this project is from somewhere around December. I haven't been working on it non-stop. But yeah like always, it's time to rant a little bit.
This is the track the description of Insect Orchestra talks about. I honestly think this might be my nicest work yet?? Maybe not my best work artistically, I still think Muisjes has that title, but I do very much like how this one sounds.
If anyone here knows what the cover art is supposed to be, please comment about it. That would be incredibly cool. The art doesn't really have anything to do with the track I guess. It kinda just matches the vibe. (Thank you to my girlfriend for taking the picture btw.)
Not really any inspirations for this one. Just wanted to make a cool sounding track, and I think I succeeded.

I recently started making music again which is great because I really love doing so. I used to work with Logic Pro X (cringe) but now I've started working with LMMS :).

All my music is made with 100% free software (in every sense of the word), free samples and free instruments.

If you follow me, expect a larger amount of reposts than actual uploads. My creative process is a slow one, and I listen to music more than I make it.

Cover arts are either pictures I made of things which I think fit the song, or images I found on the internet which I slapped together using Gimp. That last one is probably not the best idea copyright-wise but I'll burn that bridge when I get to it.

I love typing descriptions, I can just let my ADHD go haywire and write down every thought I think. I am currently listening to Creator because it started playing after I started playing my own first track Hecticity which actually has a pretty funny name, I just looked up.. wait I don't remember what I looked up
oh yeah I looked up the definition of ADHD, got the word hyperactive, found some synonyms, got hectic, and normalized it into hecticity hehe.

Anyway time to go sleep now haha bye ok bye haha byeee!!!
