The dual carriage way is desolate. Near silence, punctuated by the calls of unfamiliar birds and the wind, running it's fingers creepily amongst the leaves of uncomfortable looking trees, echoes around the petrol station forecourt, bouncing off the metal body of the car that encases you. Your hand reaches down to turn the keys in the ignition. The engine is revived and as the headlights spark into action, their light seems to drip and ooze over the black shiny viscous skin that the night's rain has formed over the tarmac of the road. Just then you hear the click and whir of the tape player as it rolls back to life ...
