🎯 Contest Overview:
Participants were challenged to create an original song for a game of their choice. Each track was designed to fit naturally within the game—whether for a specific scene or theme.

🗳️ Judging Process:
A panel of judges will narrow this list of 29 songs down to the Top 10 finalists.

The Top 10 songs will be announced at the June 25th Game Industry Gathering—and then YOU get to vote! Stay tuned for the ballot—we need your input to help choose the final winners!

📽️ Scene / Theme Description: My song was designed to be stage music for an underground lab stage, if it were to exist in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. The BPM is strategically placed at 130 to have an upbeat feel to it. It is fast enough to get players in the fighting mood, but not too distracting during gameplay.

The Underground Lab (Super Smash Bros. Ultimate)

This song was created for the POTIONS & PIXELS Game Music Contest. POTIONS & PIXELS is a nonprofit organization that creates and utilizes games, art, and technology for social impact.

I used a theme from the game as the initial melody for the track to help set the tone and to invoke the emotional arc of the game before the expansion of the melody past the introduction of the song. 

The idea was to expand upon the melody, which is being use as a centerpiece for the listener's personal experience into the game, and dive into the emotional impact that the game's Pacifist Post-Game sequence gives to the player, or at least what impact it had on me.
