Each Friday at 10 am a library supporter from the Chama Valley reads an excerpt from a book at the Eleanor Dagget Memorial Library in Chama, NM, to encourage literacy and let folks know what newly arrived books are available to be checked out.

Brother David Bryant(AKA The Desert Monk)is a Benedictine monk living at The Monastery of Christ in the Desert nearby Abiquiu. He's a philosopher, theologian, and longtime practitioner of his faith, having spent 19 years at The Monastery of Christ in the desert alone. He also has a strong social media presence, with instagram and facebook pages.
