Elma resident Ron Mullins has announced his intent to run for Grays Harbor Commissioner Position #1, representing East Grays Harbor.

We spoke to Mullins about his experience as a local hospital commissioner, City Councilmember, and his other political background. Mullins told KXRO that he would like to bring some new ideas to the Commissioner's office.

The Aberdeen Fire Department and the Red Cross will work together to hold an event to install smoke alarms in local homes, and they are asking for volunteers to assist.

The American Red Cross is holding the Sound the Alarm event in Aberdeen on April 6th and April 13th. 

This event is designed to make homes safer by installing working smoke alarms, according to Aberdeen Fire Services Specialist Mitch Housden.

On November 25, 1979, a mysterious object reportedly fell from the sky outside Westport near Elk River. Author, and former Aberdeen Police Sergeant, James Clarkson looks into this event and asks why the military blocked the entry to the reported crash site, and what is known about that night.
