phew, we made it. 

the site i usually use for lyrics didn't have a translation of this song up yet, so i was forced to scavenge the web for alternatives. most of them were hard to understand, so i dug a little deeper and went through the original Japanese in an attempt to understand what the heck the translation meant. granted, i'm still not 100% sure i understood everything, but i was able to come up with lyrics that i thought made sense with both the words i saw and what i knew about steins;gate. 

actually, you'll notice that i've added a link to "interpretative notes", which are exactly what they sound like. i looked up the word "Fatima" and noticed some real interesting symbols/motifs in the song aND the anime. yeah, i'm a nerd, i know. but there's some cool connections that i would never have noticed had i not taken a closer look. 

my notes aren't super coherent but i'd definitely recommend taking a look through them if you've watched the anime (*THERE ARE SPOILERS*) and are curious. i included the translations i used, as well as my attempts to break down the words and their meanings so that you know what i'm referencing in the interpretative notes section. 

tl;dr these lyrics took me much longer than usual but the process was extremely rewarding! i've definitely gained a much deeper appreciation for the art of translation ^^
