DESCRIPTION
Over my dead body is a collective of a few songs that stood out to me,  the moody, futuristic vibes that I love listening to when I’m on levels. Ever since I can remember I’d often ask myself questions about the purposes of my life.. not knowing if I’m doing the right thing or not... questioning my sexual preferences..thinking about how to life a meaningful live etc. in general struggling with depression from time to time made me feel  like I belong No where...a  ghost in other words... a nobody. Even tho I’m surrounded by people who love me and want nothing but the best for me I still find myself lonely and misunderstood. My mind just forces me to see the defaults in me..
instead of the little good things that come by  from time to time.. “nobody” was born on a Sunday morning when I felt like the weight of life came down on me again.

The song is about self reflecting yourself on past relationships.
Kya was never the one, who pointing fingers at anyone. She just wish not to be that hard on herself - trying to be perfect, to fit in & to feel wanted by others - but we are all humans, who learn, sometimes out of painful experiences.
Kya is curious to learn, but not only from friends & others - NO - Kya wants to grow her confidence and strength from herself to build a fundamental base go her own, which is not relying on anyone. A foundation of herself which can resist failures and enjoy success in order to receive love in a way that makes her want to share and get love and to respect herself in order to get respect and respect others. These experiences in her perception of love lead her to „Drive By“.

It all started within herself , when she was young singing at a gospel choir. Growing up as Rastafarian with Surinamese roots, she was inspired by Bob Marley & Chaka Khan. The talent she got given kept her curious to other genres and introduced her to different collaborations and different places. The sum of her experiences taught her how to put her heart into her passion: Music.
