Betty Booom's new single is an Electro Swing cover version of the classic "Spooky Scary Skeletons" by Andrew Gold. It's a mix of Swing House, Future Swing, EDM, Dubstep and perfect for Halloween time. For the vocals, she has teamed up with Ashley Slater, a famous British singer and trombonist and best known for his narration on the television series Boo! as well as his work with Norman Cook (a.k.a. Another song, another milestone. This time, I've finally delved into creating a piece of original music in the Hazbin universe, centred around a character who's become one of my favourites for his visual design and the potential of what his role and circumstances could bring to the show. 

The general idea for the song was to show how Vox is a controlling business man who uses electronics and his powers to get what he wants. He can see the desires of others through their devices and their data, he can manipulate what they read and buy and his name is on everything as we saw in Alastor's comic. And yet even he isn't able to escape the whims of someone who can be just as controlling and manipulative.

In 2019 I recorded this track after watching the Hazbin Hotel series Pilot on Youtube and feeling inspired by the show. It is important to note that this fan-made project obviously has no affiliation with the actual series or its creator.

I wrote this song from the perspective of Lucifer, the father to series protagonist, Charlie. I liked the idea of him visiting the Hotel and having to break down exactly what "Hell actually is" to his daughter, who dreams of rehabilitating sinners.
