Each time I might've died, I rewind the time five days
Tryna skirt my demise and escape my divine fate

Encased in ancient Cenozoic ice - twice - but I melted.
The helmet of Hades I sheltered myself in's just a relic
Stopped by Mephistopheles - got lost in his home
Called up Yamaraja's phone and made philosopher's stones

On a first name basis with Chernabog, I've turned the clock
And urged Pandora to burn the box but it didn't work so hot
Got an ankh in my pocket, an ouroboros tattoo
Hoarded horcruxes, and I've sipped primordial soup

Implored the Four Horsemen to not be the mortal I was prior 
Sought out Orpheus but unfortunately just found a lyre
Did business with shinigami, and still continue clueless
Though I've interviewed Methuselah, listened to Anubis,
And been to every festival of death collecting talismans.
I've bribed Azrael to forget me and questioned Lazarus 
Got sacrilegious amulets and bracelets next to
Chained up phoenixes I ensared and experiment on in my basement

And at this rate I fear I've tried to find a cure in vain
Every year I age will disappear in time like tears in rain
But I've been here and there and I'll endure until my quest's complete
And desperately resist destiny as long as there's breath in me

she starts raving ‘bout true crime and then motions towards the couch
throws a documentary on right before I go turn her down

assassins and kidnappers, serial killers, and such
when I spy what looks just like a pistol in her bag, tucked

so I whip out the bathroom excuse, but it comes out jumbled
“I need to bath the room use!” - like full on run and fumble
then I slink through the hallway out of sight and tie up my hi-tops
burst into the night, sprint outside of the sniper’s eye shot

safe and sound, except for those phoney vehicles
unmarked vans and CIA agents disguised as homeless people
under toxic chemtrails, and reptilians with different coloured fangs
at least I left her place unscathed to live another day
