The Vibes

Just a fun little song that's basically super generic theme for a video game desert area, but in my own style. Cause honestly I just can't get enough of desert area themes in games. It serves no real purpose other than to fuckin slap!

Sandswept

Just a really vibey theme with the inspiration of being for a dark and misty forest area in some game, perhaps with some mechanical ruins scattered around from some quarrying works. Sadly there is no such game to speak of, this track stands alone with its corresponding boss theme if you will, Found by the Night.
This is actually the first ever full length piece I made in this style, so it's special to me, but it also needed a re-vamp as a result, which is why I rewrote it for Selective Pressure to make Sleep is for the Weak. In so doing, though, I did lose some of the mysterious tranquility that I loved about this track, replaced with suspense and almost delirium in places. So I decided to spruce up the original a bit and post it as its own song. It's not my best work but it's still solid and it has a good vibe to it.

Lost to the Ebony

This is the boss theme, if you like, to which Lost to the Ebony is the area theme! The idea that I came up with after composing this track is that if it was in a game, it would be well-suited to a boss battle with a swarm of bats. Low, hard hitting notes representing the magnificent terror of this black cloud, or perhaps they could even combine to form one huge bat - and these contrasted with high notes that are constantly darting about, representing the agility and the screeches of the individual bats.
Sadly there is no game to speak of. But still, this was the first boss theme I composed in this style and one of the first really solid tracks I created.

Found by the Night

The first piece of music that I ever composed digitally! I didn't really know where I was going with it, I just wanted to make something fun and upbeat. Mission accomplished I guess?

This was my second finished track composed digitally! For this track I wanted to use variations on recurring themes and have them all come together for a climactic finish. I think it worked okay, especially since I was quite young at the time.

I made this funky little remix in just a few hours, as a request from a friend. Personally I know very little about Dragon Ball, but to any fans out there, enjoy!

Celeste Original Soundtrack - 06 - Checking In

A zany and fun sonatina I composed, for two pianos in G Minor.
I composed this for my GCSE music exam, and posted it here because I am still pretty proud of it.
This piece later inspired The Dance Diurnal, which I see as its final form. I don't feel it fits in with any of my digital compositions though, so it has been relegated to the Inkwell.

This was my first attempt at creating an exciting boss theme. I wanted it to have a creepy, morose vibe, with a gradual buildup to its climax. I had the tune in my head long before I began Digital Endeavour, and I was planning it for ages, but it wasn't finished until afterwards.

Livid Regret

This is a compilation of the in-game versions of Scattered and Lost from the Celeste Soundtrack.
Some of the more observant or soundtrack-obsessed players will notice that certain parts are missing from the soundtrack version compared to the in-game version. I would imagine Lena has done this so that it feels more like a piece in its own right when listened to separately. But I personally feel a little like I've missed out on some of the epic synths in the elevator shaft, for example, so wanted to get this onto soundcloud

Scattered and Lost ~ In-Game Versions ~ Celeste Soundtrack

I turned my piano duet from GCSE (also posted on this account) into a chiptune song!
This was my first go at writing chiptune music, and as such it was a very small scale project originally - quite short and lacking in instrumentational variety. But it works very well within its limitations.
Since it was later adapted into a full song to form The Dance Diurnal, featured my Selective Pressure EP, it now rests peacefully in the Inkwell.

The Dance Diurnal (Demo Version)

This was the first entirely new chiptune piece I made! I later developed it into a full piece which I named 'A Tale of Turmoil' but that piece was later fleshed out even further to make "Historic"/Archaic for my Selective Pressure EP .
I wanted to do something using the harpsichord, so I made my own using these chiptune instruments along with the right filtering. It was a pretty fun challenge, and it took me about 3 hours originally.
Of course it now lies in the Inkwell, but it's definitely important to me.
