Daniel Pringle, aka The Jaffa Kid, spent years producing music in the digital shadows. Now he is enjoying some well-earned vinyl/digital attention.  The Jaffa Kid's prolific music-making is well known at this point, with a wide-ranging palette that takes in the full range of electronic genres, from jungle to techno to ambient.
Newcastle-based producer The Jaffa Kid (real name Daniel Pringle) is absurdly prolific, releasing countless albums, EPs and miscellania since he first started recording just over ten years ago.
He has released on 030303, Furthur Electronix, Altered Sense, Brokntoys, La Beauté Du Négatif, Suction Records, Cold Blow, Gated Recordings, Lith Dolina and countless more.

"The aim of the mix was to incorporate as many styles as I could see fit working.  I was also going for a moody futuristic science fiction vibe with the opening of the set.  The set is a collection of golden oldies, lesser known cuts and my own work.  Hope you enjoy it!"

This mix is a direct continuation to the Discus Throwers mix from last year (Texten 1), appropriately titled 'Texten 2' and continuing the 'rap tracks that couldn't be classified as hip hop' approach.
