Lorde - Tennis Court (Flume Remix)

This piece began as an experiment using a scale that was in between a major and a minor scale, where the 3rd, 6th, and 7th of the major scale were flattened by a quarter tone. Due to this, I have become interested in how the human brain perceives these tones, and am looking to discover something that is truly neutral.

I'm Different

The idea for this piece was to take a field-recording and then compose music to it, like a film without images. The music later became a metaphor for lingering thoughts in the mind, starting simple and then being removed from the original context and morphing. Inspired by Pink Floyd's "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast"
